I've seen this issue with both Calls and Puts both short and long. In fact, it
seems when I enter a new option transaction by hand, quicken is taking my 1
contract and multiplying it to 100. This gets the correct relation between the
purchase price and the cost, but ends up listing the wrong number of contracts
in the portfolio view. Oddly, it shows the correct value, but the wrong cost
basis in portfolio view. Everything comes out correct when I close the
transaction, though. I've just learned to live with seeing the represented
number of underlying shares in my portfolio view and ignoring option cost basis
and total gain/loss. (and posting on this board about it occasionally until they
improve the behavior).

up the transaction as a sell under type & category. Lets say I sold 2
contracts.I set up the transaction as a sell of 200 shares cause thats the way
QM likes to see it. I know what I I got for each contract so the transaction is
correct.so the transaction would be sell 200 shares (2 contracts) at say
2.80.this comes to $560.00 which is then added to my cash balance. The cost
basis info will not be reflected in the Portfolio view but as long as its
accurate I am good to go. When the option goes to 0 or I decide that say 90%

Richard your point is well taken, I recall that options were handled pretty well
in QW; the ability to modify the transaction prior to accepting it made for
better sailing. If you are going to be dealing with lots of options this is
going to be painful.

If your ongoing options came over properly than closing them out should be half
the work. Another way to go is to run QW on a VM using parallels or one of the
other programs. If you want to learn more about this approach just type in the
search box with your question.Lots of good info here! When deciding to make the
transition over to the iMAC and QM16 (at that time) I spent a few weeks on this
site learning about the issues with QM as opposed to QW. Turns out it was time
very well spent. I knew exactly ( for the most part) what I was getting with QM
as opposed to QW. During this time it became clear that many,many QM users were
anxious to get off running QW on their MAC's, not just due to system slowdown
but other issues relating to the Windows world.

The Quicken folks have committed to parity with QW but IMHO its 2+ yrs down the
road. There are improvements & upgrades that are introduced during the yearly
cycle so things are improving, not fast enough for most folks, so they have a
steep mountain to climb.

Here you will find Quicken versions by year for both Windows and Mac. For Mac
users, you will only find release notes here; to download the latest update,
follow the instructions in the previous section under 'Quicken Updates for Mac.'

WD 4TB MY PASSPORT HOW TO REFORMAT FOR MAC

Hi all, I have a 4TB WD My Passport and have struggled to connect to it and
retrieve files from it since upgrading to High Sierra. I've tried using Disk
Utility to erase the drive, partition it and even tried to re-download outdated
Sierra software (which failed). I have lots of data on the drive which I want to
save if possible, but nothing seems to help. I have also replaced the connector
cable as I have seen that it has solved similar issues, however not mine.
