OUR STORY

Buckle up, it's a long one...

Jagoda Kocol and Kamil Trestka met on the first day of 8th grade Polish School
back in 2008. Jagoda and her friend Julia, had just switched into the morning
session and (of course) were scoping out the cutest boys in class - Jagoda
immediately noticed Kamil. One day, Jagoda reached out to Kamil via facebook
asking about homework for the upcoming Saturday (let's be honest, the roles
should have been reversed here). Kamil shared his number and they began to text
regularly for the next 4 years. FINALLY, senior year of high school, Kamil asked
Jagoda to prom and they brfiely dated for a few months.

As young love goes, they broke up in the summer going into college. Kamil still
does not eat at the McDonalds where Jagoda asked him to meet up, not for a
burger, but to let him know this was the end....

Kamil and Jagoda continued to stay in touch (shout out to Snapchat), and
annually meet up for a sushi dinner.
You would think we would finally get together, but after many date invitations,
conversations that went no where, and a little bit of ghosting from each other,
it took a pandemic and a dog to finally see each other again.

Fast forward to October 2020, Jagoda got a dog (Milo), and of course, she sent a
snap to Kamil. Kamil, lover of all dogs, continued to comment how cute Milo is
so, naturally, Jagoda invited him over to meet the pup. Surprisingly, Kamil
immediately took her up on it (thank you COVID boredom), and came over to the
apartment Jagoda shared with her best friend, Anna, that same week. Jagoda,
Kamil, Anna, and Milo started chitchatting with not a single awkward minute.
When Kamil went to the bathroom, Anna immediately shouted to Jagoda (in their
TINY Chicago apartment) "well, what was wrong with him?! He's great!"Jagoda,
embarrassed, told her to quiet down and of course, said there was absolutely
nothing wrong with him and the timing might just be right this time around.

Jagoda and Kamil went on their official first date (of adulthood) to Oistar
Ramen shortly after, and bonded over their mutual dislike of Ramen throughout
the date. They continued to see each other several times a week, and eventually
moved in together in April of 2022.

Kamil proposed to Jagoda on July 7th, 2023 in the beautiful Torrey Pines State
Park, San Diego (as some of you know, yes this happened on a Nudist beach! Rest
assured with were fully clothed), just a week before their 2nd anniversary on
July 14th. On July 28th, Jagoda and Kamil headed to the Chiacgo City hall with a
few close friends and exchanged their I do's!

They're so excited to start the next phase of their lives together and can't
wait exchange their vows under God and celebrate with you in September!
