What does medical examination mean?

Definitions of medical examination. noun. a thorough physical examination;
includes a variety of tests depending on the age and sex and health of the
person. synonyms: checkup, health check, medical, medical checkup, medical exam.

What happens in a medical examination?

Your weight and height to determine your body mass index (BMI) Your waist may be
measured. Your blood pressure will be taken using a cuff on your upper arm. A
small sample of blood will be taken from your finger to check cholesterol and
possibly blood sugar level.

What should you not do before a medical check up?
Preparations for Health Screening
 1. Get enough sleep, at least 6 hours, prior to the check-up. ...
 2. Do not eat or drink at least 8 – 10 hours prior to the check-up. ...
 3. Please do not drink alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to appointment as
    drugs and alcohol may affect some tests.

What does pre employment medical exam consist of?
Medical examination under services will entail the following;
History:personal, family, medical and occupational history
Height, weight, BMI and urine testing 
Physical examination
Hearing test - Audiometry
Lung function testing - Spirometry 
Vision screeening including drivers vision

What is medical clearance for a job?

A medical clearance will specify whether or not the employee is medically fit to
perform the essential job functions of their position. The medical clearance
includes an evaluation for respiratory clearance as well.
