You want to display this kind of project in the sofa in your living room for everyone to see. It will be the envy of your friends and neighbors as this type of blanket is rare to find nowadays. Only a few people now do crochet projects. I can't wait to do this vintage piece. So lovely! * Reply * 0 * Report Abuse Hippie Chick Apr 10, 2017 The fluffy tassels set the afghan off and add to its uniqueness. The two yarns mentioned in the materials list Canadiana and Dcor? Is that available in the US? I personally have never heard of it before, but I am familiar with Patons as I have used some of their other yarns before. * Reply * 2 * Report Abuse KLC Apr 15, 2017 They should both be available at most yarn stores. I just checked a few like Jo-Ann Fabrics, Michaels, and Amazon and they all list at least one of the types as available. Try calling or checking online before at your shop of choice if you want to make sure. I hope this helps! -Krista, Editor * Reply * 1 * Report Abuse Hippie Chick Apr 26, 2017 Thank you Krista. I will definitely call around to my local stores before heading out. * Reply * 1 * Report Abuse Stephanie Hantz Apr 05, 2017 I love anything that is lacey! My mother complains about it all the time! However, I believe she would love this pattern. I am hoping to be able to crochet an afghan soon (too many other projects on my list!). I have only ever done one afghan and it took forever! Hopefully, now that I have more experience it will not take as long. * Reply * 1 * Report Abuse Shyanha Oct 28, 2016 * I rewrote the instructions on my Ravelry project (Shyanha) and attempted a chart for the squares. Perhaps that will help folks. I frogged the first square a couple times, but the joining of the squares is where the headache came in. 9 froggings before I finally got it right! I included a photo of my first four squares. I have two complete square rows and a 3rd that's nearly complete now, so take heart! Once I got it, it was like a "oh em gee, I should have seen that!" moment. * Reply * 1 * Report Abuse Shyanha Oct 28, 2016 The photo here is tiny. It's the same as on my Ravelry project, and that one not only shows all four squares, but quite a bit larger. * Reply * 1 * Report Abuse Zeemer Aug 26, 2016 Beautifully done in white. Can also be created in other pastel colors. Thanks for the free pattern. * Reply * 0 * Report Abuse mishagirl69 721897 7 Mar 18, 2016 This appears to be a very poorly written pattern. I have ONE square that's finished, I'm supposed to make 14 more, unfinished and join them? What? Could really use some help! * Reply * 0 * Report Abuse mishagirl69 721897 7 Mar 18, 2016 Actually, I found a picture and I think I get it. Since you're only joining on ONE side, as you're making a "string" of them, you only need one finished for each panel. Here's the link, I think you'll get it. And that will teach me to speak too soon! I am assuming RS stands for right side?? Also did not find the video tutorial it references. My mom would LOVE it! It looks like this is 7 panels with 15 squares per panel. You could probably make it into a shawl by only working 3 or 4 panels. Also you might need to do fewer squares per panel. Just quit when it get long enough. Hope this helps. You! Anyone who is a registered and logged in user. What should I share? Please share images that will help other visitors. For example: * Images that highlight a article's features ("Here are the controls on this music player", "See the clasp for this necklace", "Look at the box this came in") * Images showing someone using a product ("Here I am wearing this scarf", "Install the ink cartridge here") * Images related to a topic ("My dog Skipper", "A great outfit", "Our family at Yellowstone", "How to glue a chair using a cabinet clamp") * Images that show how a product performs ("I took this picture with this camera", "This shirt shrunk in the wash", "The saw blade after 100 cuts") * Images that give a sense of the size of the product ("This refrigerator is actually 6' tall", "A cellphone the size of a credit card") Do include captions for your images. While not required, they provide context for your images. Additionally, you can use the Image Notes feature to highlight one or more interesting areas in your image. Everyone will see your notes when they roll over your image. What shouldn't I share? Behave as if you were a guest at a friend's dinner party: please treat the Prime Publishing community with respect. Do not share: * Profane, obscene, or spiteful images, or any images with nudity * Images to which you do not own the intellectual property rights * Images featuring phone numbers, mail addresses, or URLs. You can watermark an image with copyright information. * Images featuring availability, price, or alternative ordering/shipping information * Images featuring external Web sites, contests, or other solicitations * Any personal information about children under 13 * Images with automobile license plates that are prominent and easily read (pictures with license plates that have been fuzzed out or that otherwise cannot be read are acceptable). The same guidelines apply to your captions and notes. What image formats and sizes are supported? We support JPEG, GIF and PNG images. Files must be no more than 1MB. Both the image height and the image width must be between 60 and 3500 pixels. Instead of uploading an image, can I just enter a link to an image? No, all images must be uploaded to Prime Publishing. This ensures your image is always available. How long does it take to upload an image? The time varies depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the image file. For a 400KB image, for example, you should expect 2 to 4 minutes over a 56KB modem and under 1 minute for DSL or cable modem. Where will my image appear? Generally your image will appear where you uploaded it: in the article image gallery. Who owns the images I upload? The rights owner of the image continues to own the image; uploading your image to Prime Publishing does not transfer ownership. close [ Close ] SORRY, WE COULD NOT SIGN YOU UP.
