IF I UPGRADE TO PRO, WHAT DO I GET?



The "ads" and "pro" versions both have the same features. The only difference
with "pro" is no ads, ever.

It's a once only fee to upgrade to pro.

See Textra Settings > Manage Ads > Upgrade to Pro (this menu option only appears
after your 14-day no ads trial).

HOW DO I TRANSFER MY MESSAGES TO A NEW PHONE?



To transfer your messages across (SMS & MMS), the only reliable app we know of
is SMS Backup & Restore

I AM HAVING ISSUES SENDING PICTURES, WHAT CAN I TRY?



Pictures (and video) are sent via your mobile carrier using the MMS protocol.
The MMS size limit for the majority of carriers in the world is typically 1Mb,
which is tiny in this digital era! So firstly, ensure Textra Settings > MMS
> Carrier Send Limit is set correctly for your carrier.

When you send a picture or video larger than the specified Carrier Send Limit,
Textra will compress the content to ensure it fits within your mobile carriers’
size limit. Otherwise, the message will fail to send.

It's also important to know that MMS is sent via your mobile cellular service,
not via Wi-Fi, so you need a reasonably strong cellular signal.

HOW TO SEARCH IN A SPECIFIC CHAT?



To search for a word (or words) in a specific chat, just type the chat (contact)
name and the word(s) you want to find into the search field. 

Say you wanted to look for the word holiday in a chat with James. Simply tap the
Textra search icon, type in James holiday. This will search in the James chat
for the word holiday and display the results.

HOW DO I SCHEDULE A MESSAGE TO SEND LATER?



In any chat, press the + icon (left of the message field). Then on the bottom
tab, click the clock looking icon. Now you can schedule an SMS or MMS message to
send at whatever date and time in the future that you want.

I SEE A NEW VERSION, WHY CAN'T I GET IT NOW?



When we put out a new release, we do what is referred to as a "staged rollout",
that is we roll out the release slowly in stages. Typically, we start with 2%,
then slowly increase this percentage over a 2-week period until fully rolled out
at 100%.

We do this so that if there is an issue we can catch it early. This way there is
as little inconvenience as possible for our users.


WILL MY "PRO" STATUS BE TRANSFERRED TO A NEW PHONE?



Yes, this happens automatically so long as you're logged into the same Google
Play account that you originally purchased Textra under.

IS THERE A WAY TO SEND AUDIO MESSAGES?



Yes! Enable Textra > Settings > Quick Voice Memos.

Now whenever you compose a new message, you’ll see a microphone icon to the
right of the message input field. Just tap and hold this icon and record your
audio message.

HOW DO I SEND A REACTION TO A MESSAGE IN TEXTRA?



Just tap (not long hold) a received message bubble. Then tap the emoji icon and
choose your reaction to send. Easy!
