Calling all superheroes! Are you ready for the ultimate team building challenge?
Look no further than the annual Chester Raft Race! Join us on July 2nd at 10am
at Chester Meadows for a day of excitement and adventure.

Assemble your team and put your raft-building skills to the test, all while
dressed up as your favorite caped crusaders. This year’s theme is superheroes,
so let your imaginations run wild as you design and decorate your rafts to match
the theme. Will you choose to emulate the Man of Steel and build a raft with
impressive speed and strength, or channel your inner Dark Knight and construct a
stealthy and strategic vessel?

But the fun doesn’t stop there! The Chester Raft Race is the perfect opportunity
for team building and bonding. Work together to navigate the river’s twists and
turns, overcome obstacles, and outwit your opponents. You’ll need to communicate
effectively and rely on each other’s strengths to come out on top.

And let’s not forget the ultimate reward – bragging rights as the champions of
the Chester Raft Race! Previous winners have included the likes of Crocky Trail,
Chester Auto Services, and Sandbach Cave & Mountain Rescue. Will your team be
next in line for glory?

So grab your superhero squad and get ready to save the day – and your team’s
bond – at the Chester Raft Race. It’s sure to be a super-powered experience you
won’t forget!


CHESTER RAFT RACE

July 2nd, 2023 10:00 – 17:00
Chester Meadows – CH4 7AZ


 * Early bird registration is available until April 30th for £80 per raft
 * After April 30th, registration is £100 per raft
 * Payment can be made online or by invoice
 * All fees are donations to the event charity, with 50% of the fee donated back
   to the event charity Chester Round Table
 * Rafts must be scruitineered in advance of the race
 * The race starts at 10am on July 2nd at Chester Meadows, with raft assembly
   beginning at 9am
 * The event is sponsored by Salt Town Contractors Ltd
 * Hospitality plots are available for hire for businesses and organizations
   looking to showcase their brand and entertain clients or guests
 * The event includes family-friendly entertainment at Chester Meadows, making
   it a fun day out for everyone
   
    
   
   The 2023 award categories for the raft race event include:
   
   * Overall winner: The fastest and best-themed raft.
   * Ladies only: The fastest team made up of only women.
   * Fastest hostelry: The fastest pub, restaurant, or hotel on the river Dee.
   * Fastest innovation: The fastest rafts that are not using traditional paddle
     power.
   * Greenest raft: The most eco-friendly build.
   * Titanic ultimate sinkers award: The fastest sinking raft.
   
   Additionally, some categories may have runners up awards. The overall winner
   will now be scored based on both time and theme, with 70% weighting on time
   and 30% weighting on theme.
