WHAT DO WE DO?

Max Fab Consulting offers top-of-the-line leadership programs as well as
consultations. We help you become a clear and motivating leader, and to build
more of a collaborative, inclusive, and productive environment for your team.




MISSION

Our mission is to empower emerging leaders and military veterans transitioning
to civilian life to become the best versions of themselves so they can achieve
their full potential. We do this through delivering customized new and emerging
leader training programs that include and support mental and emotional balance.
Through continuous personal development and authentic discussions, our clients
will be equipped with the right tools to live a Max Fab life and be the leader
of their own lives and in the lives of others.

THE MAX FAB STORY

MaxFab was born from the challenges and adversity United States Air Force
veteran Dave Nordel faced during his time serving in Iraq during Operation Iraqi
Freedom. During his time there, he led 235 trauma medics using a unique
attitudinal mindset and culture he coined “Maximum Fabulous” or “MaxFab,” which
he saw as the key to maintaining mental, physical, and emotional readiness in
the face of life and death situations born from the tragedies of war. His
efforts led to a tremendous overall survival rate of 99.5% for all Military,
civilian, and enemy casualties during his tour. Dave’s powerful message is
forever etched in history on a special Red Crescent flag created and presented
to him at the completion of his tour. After retiring from the Air Force, Dave
founded MaxFab Consulting to help coach young leaders and support veterans
transitioning into civilian life and help them successfully navigate issues such
as PTSD, moral injury, and other mental health challenges. MaxFab Consulting
focuses on attitude development and control principles, emphasizing the
importance of shedding the burden of worrying about things out of one’s control
and instead focusing on developing a positive attitude that can inspire and
motivate oneself and others.

THE FOUNDER

Dave Nordel is a retired United States Air Force Command Chief Master Sergeant
with over 30 years of
service; he holds a bachelor’s degree in registered nursing specializing in
emergency medicine and a
master’s degree in disaster and emergency management. Dave is a Bronze Star
combat-decorated medic
and the recipient of the Legion of Merit, our nation’s 6th highest military
decoration. 

He operated in Saudi Arabia, Somalia, South America, Iraq, Korea, Japan, and
Hungary. Dave grew up in rural Northern California in a dairy farming family.
Dave left home at 19 to join the Air Force and ascended through the enlisted
ranks to culminate as the senior enlisted leader for all nuclear missile forces
in the United States. 

He has vast experience leading small groups and large organizations and has led
city government activities and large organizations as an emergency manager for
multiple communities through covid and other disaster situations. He is the
author of the international best-selling book Giving Back – Life and Leadership
from the Farm to the Combat Zone and Beyond. 

Dave is the founder and owner of Max Fab Consulting providing keynote
leadership, organizational growth, and strategic guidance, and he is actively
involved in using his journey with PTSD to help transitioning veterans and other
victims of trauma deal with the condition in a healthy manner. He is an active
mentor and speaks to young leaders to aid their development and future
successes. He continues to give back the gifts he has collected along the way.
