Update August 2022: Total federal direct payments to help with Covid-19 aid
totals $931 billion. While certain programs continue to run, the majority of aid
specific to Covid-19 via direct payments has ended. If you have outstanding
College Student Loan Debt, you may be eligible for loan forgiveness.

Update April 2021: The Biden administration has delivered over 156 million
payments to Americans in the most recent third round of Covid stimulus checks
worth more than $375 billion. Each check is up to $1400 per person and delivered
via direct deposit or physical check. If you have not received your payment yet,
we recommend you use the IRS “Get My Payment” website to check your eligibility
and status. You will need to have your social security number, address, and
birth date ready.

Update December 2020: The ongoing COVID-19 crisis has brought much of the world
to a standstill. One by one, national economies have ground to a halt as
countries enter lockdowns in the fight to halt the virus from spreading further.

The US has not escaped this pandemic unscathed, and the nation’s economy has
slumped dramatically over the course of only a few weeks. With a record-breaking
3.3 million people already suffering unemployment by the end of March, there has
been rising concern over the increasing financial hardship faced by most
Americans.

President Trump and the federal government has been trying to offer some relief
during this time, and Congress has persisted despite difficult bipartisan
negotiations, finally reaching a consensus on the terms of a relief package in
late March.

With little delay, the House and the Senate passed the $2 trillion relief
package, and President Donald J. Trump immediately signed the bill into effect.
In something of an understatement, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell
described the bill as “…a wartime level of investment into our nation”. This is
the most substantial stimulus package of this type to have been passed in the
country’s recent history.

Prior to the Covid-19 outbreak, did you know that most years the government
awards over $400 billion through government agencies which include the
Department of Housing, Department of Health and Human Services, Small Business
Association and others.

Federal assistance are government programs that help individuals, businesses and
organizations through awarding money and benefits to people.

Common examples of federal programs are government grants, various college
financial aid programs, affordable housing subsidies, food stamp programs and
unemployment funds.

The largest category of funding goes toward federal grant awards and recipients
are selected by applying to the appropriate federal agency which can include
minority grants, women grants, personal grants, business grants, housing grants
and more.

Other federal assistance programs include the Federal Pell Grant, Section 8
Housing, Local Law Enforcement Grants, Head Start Program, Conservation Reserve
Program, Child and Adult Care, Food Vouchers, and more. The key to getting grant
funding is to always be on the look out for available programs and to apply
quickly for them.

This is where we help by guiding you through the difficult and tedious process
of applying for Federal Assistance programs.

In addition to individuals being awarded grant funding, State governments, local
governments, Indian Tribal governments, non-profits, and territories like Puerto
Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam and American Samoa are also eligible to receive aid.
