ALIFF 2024: ASMABI'S LIGHTHOUSE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL



Second Edition of Asmabi's Lighthouse International Film Festival at MES Asmabi
College, P.Vemballur to be held from 26 to 28 February 2024 at MES Asmabi
College Auditorium. 




ZYFER 2024 - TECH FEST



We are pleased to inform you that our Zyfer 2024 -will be held at our campus
conducted by Dept.of Computer Applications on 21th of February 2024.

The event includes: Hackathon, Treasure Hunt, Debugging, Web Designing and
Gaming Events(PES & BGMI).

 Aquaculture Association 2023-24  to be inaugurated by Mr. Paul M F, Asst.
Director of Fisheries, Fisheries Station, Azhikode, Thrissur on 20th February
2024.

EXIBITION: SHASTHRA SAMETHAM 2024



 As a part of shasthra sametham program in association with Kerala general
education department Kodungallur sub district and science departments,
department of mathematics and Statistics organised an exhibition for the high
school and higher secondary students of Thrissur district. Program started at
10.00 am  with an inauguration ceremony. Students had visited the   department
by 2.00 pm and they are engaged in various exhibits and games. Exhibition
consist of chart presentations, mathematical models demonstrations and games
related to Mathematics.  Attractive gifts are also offered to the winners.
Program officially concluded by 3.00pm with a closing program by distributing
participation certificates. This program helps school level students to choose
their carrier and higher education stream according to their caliber and their
interests, to an extend.

PTA MEETING



PTA Meeting for 2021 Batch was conducted on 21st August 2023 at 2.00 PM to
discuss about the fifth Semester trip. Vice - Principal Reena Muhammed Maam, HoD
& Class - in Charge Shafna A S, Other faculty Members also participated nearly
35 parents paticipated.




PTA ANNUAL REPORT



In the year 2023-24, there are four PTA executive committee meetings, two
general body meetings and one hostel inmates meeting were conducted. The general
body meetings were conducted on 12-09-2023 and 21-03-2024.




DESTINATION VISIT



During this course the students should undergo a study tour of less than seven
days. The tour destinations may be selected based on the importance of the
places, tourists flow and its potentials for growth. Based on the study tour
students should prepare a tour report for external viva (80 marks) and a tour
dairy to the department for internal evaluation

The Hackathon commenced with a lively introduction session, where participants
were welcomed and briefed about the event's objectives and rules. The theme of
the Hackathon, carefully chosen to inspire creativity and innovation, was
unveiled, setting the tone for the intense coding challenge ahead

ABOUT US

M.E.S Asmabi College, a premier educational institution managed by the Muslim
Educational Society (Regd.) Calicut, owes its existence to the remarkable
foresight and unremitting zeal of the late Dr. P.K.Abdul Gafoor, the late P.K.
Abdulla and late Dr. A.K Siddiq Karikulam Azhikode.

Started in the year 1968 at P. Vemballur, Kodungallur, a remote coastal backward
village in the S N Puram Panchayath of Thrissur District with the main objective
of uplifting the educationally backward community especially muslims of the area
who had been denied of the right to education for generations. The college now
caters to the needs of the students throughout Kerala and Lakshadweep , cutting
across the barriers of class, caste, creed and religion. Hajee Ismail Essa Sait
of Cochin initially donated the land and the building and the college was named
after his mother Asmabi.
