WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT: A massive stampede has left dozens in cardiac arrest
after being crushed by a large crowd pushing forward on a narrow street during
Halloween festivities in the South Korean capital Seoul. Officials said at least
100 people were injured during the deadly crowd surge on Saturday night in the
Itaewon leisure district of Seoul. They did not give a specific number of the
people being treated for cardiac arrest but said they were in the dozens. Choi
said it was believed that people were crushed to death after a large crowd began
pushing forward in a narrow alley near Hamilton Hotel, a major party spot in
Seoul. Police said dozens of people are being given CPR on Itaewon streets while
many others have been taken to nearby hospitals.

Elaine Wilson, 63, has launched a compensation claim over the horrific death of
her husband Robert outside the pharmaceutical factory where he worked in 2020.
The 53-year-old suffered over 100 stab wounds in an unprovoked and frenzied
attack with the martial arts weapon that was captured on CCTV and his mobile
phone. His teenage killers Kiyran Earnshaw, 18, and Luke Gaukroger, 16, were
jailed for life at Leeds Crown Court in September 2020 after pleading guilty to
murder. Prosecutors described the attack as 'barbaric'. Wilson was working for
the pharmaceutical company Thornton and Ross in Linthwaite, near Huddersfield,
as a night shift supervisor. His role was to work inside the factory that made
the household cleaning products as well as the heroin substitute methadone and
painkiller codeine. According to the writ filed in the High Court he and other
employees were asked to move on trespassers from outside the factory where a
smoking shelter was often used by teens for drinking and taking drugs.

Thousands of working mothers came together in a Halloween-themed March of The
Mummies (pictured) to Downing Street today as they challenged the Government to
help out more with childcare, parental leave and flexible working. Protesters
gathered together at Trafalgar Square in the heart of London, calling for
Government reform. They were then seen embarking on a passionate rally through
central London up to Parliament Square, past Downing Street. Families including
young children donned bandages, vampire costumes and witches' hats as they took
part in the march. Thousands more are expected to take part in similar marches
across the UK, including in Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and Norwich. United
mothers stood defiantly outside Downing Street shouting 'Dear Rishi Sunak, we
want our choices back' as they protested against unaffordable childcare and
parental leave structures. It comes on the day that Mr Sunak's multi-millionaire
wife Akshata Murty was spotted giving instructions to movers unpacking the
family's furniture as the Prime Minister's press secretary confirmed that they
are moving back into No 10 today.

timeframe in which the 42-year-old business consultant was savagely attacked in
the packed carriage of a London Underground train by a man wielding a machete
who had picked him entirely at random. 'This is not a terror attack,' the
assailant told terrified onlookers. 'I want only him.' What followed next was an
onslaught of extraordinary savagery: as James tried to flee for his life, the
attacker - 35-year-old Ricky Morgan (centre, right and inset) - hunted him down,
slashing at his head, hands, elbow and legs. That James survived at all is

footage, all I could think was how the hell I walked away from it,' says James

THE BIRTHPLACE OF LAURA ASHLEY: GRADE-II LISTED BUILDING WHERE BRITISH FASHION
AND TEXTILE EMPIRE WAS LAUNCHED COULD BE YOURS FOR £230,000
The Grade-II listed building (top left) - known as the Deco Shop - was purchased
by Laura Ashley and her husband Bernard in the early 1960s. They opened the
shop, in Machynlleth, Powys, in 1961 and lived in the flat above it, before
going on to open an empire of 230 Laura Ashley stores worldwide. The brand
boasted a typical English country style until filing for administration in March
2020. All of its stores closed by January 2021, but Laura Ashley homeware can
still be bought in the likes of Next and John Lewis. The Deco Shop has a plaque
commemorating it as the birthplace of Laura Ashley (inset).

The majority of UFO sightings are likely the result of foreign spying, airborne
trash or simply optical illusions governmental officials have said. US officials
have solved many recent UFO mysteries, the New York Times reports. The most
recent unidentified aerial phenomena has been explained as to trash in the sky
or foreign surveillance activity, such as Chinese drones but the Pentagon keeps
most of its conclusions on foreign surveillance secret so as not to reveal to
China that it is aware of their spying activities. Some older incidents remain
officially unexplained simply because there is not enough data to make a final
conclusion. During public hearings in May, the Navy revealed 400 'unidentified
aerial phenomenon' reports in recent years. An intelligence report last year
revealed U.S. government had encountered more than 140 unidentified aerial
phenomena since 2004 and could not explain them.

A cheeky gorilla named 'Bob' has flipped off two sisters as their mother films
them at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs. The hilarious video was
uploaded to YouTube on Thursday and shows two girls standing in front of Bob's
enclosure where the primate is eating a piece of celery. The 21 second moment
caught on camera was uploaded by the girls' father who said they had been
visiting the zoo as a family.

Melburnians donned their best black and white frocks and suits to pack
Flemington Racecourse for Derby Day, the first day of the Melbourne Cup
Carnival. The champagne and beer were flowing at both tracks, where punters were
in high spirits with plans to continue celebrations well into the night. It was
the biggest Derby Day crowd since 2019 with most racegoers locked out of
Flemington for the last two years due to Covid-19 restrictions. Most attendees
obliged with the traditional black and white Derby Day dress code, where not
even a late afternoon downpour could dampen their high spirits.
