WELCOME TO ST. MARY’S INDIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH OF BOSTON

Rejoice in the Lord always! Welcome to St. Mary’s Indian Orthodox Church of
Boston. Come and celebrate the living Holy Eucharist in the tradition of
Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church of India which is one of the Oriental Orthodox
churches. We use the Syrian Orthodox Liturgy of the Antiochene Liturgical
tradition. Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church traces its roots to the evangelistic
work of Saint Thomas, the Apostle, in the first century in India. It is believed
that St. Thomas came to India in 52 AD. He preached gospel, ordained priests and
established churches in 7 places in SouthIndia. He is believed to have been
martyred at Mylapur, Madras, India in 72 AD.

Children participate in worship services and in Sunday School. Worship services
are conducted mostly in Malayalam and once a month in English.

We are proud of our achievements during the last decade. Since 2003 we had the
privilege of worshipping in our own church building and we are grateful to God
for the immense blessings.
