ABOUT US WELCOME TO THE SOUTHEASTERN CENTER OF EXCELLENCE IN VECTOR-BORNE DISEASES (SECVBD) OUR GOAL IS TO WORK AS A MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM WITH KEY PUBLIC HEALTH STAKEHOLDERS IN THE REGION IN THE SEARCH OF NEW KNOWLEDGE AND STRATEGIES TO DETECT, PREVENT, AND CONTROL VECTOR-BORNE DISEASES IN THE SOUTHEASTERN U.S. AND CARIBBEAN. WE INVITE YOU TO EXPLORE OUR PROGRAM AS WE PIVOT TO EXPAND THE APPLIED RESEARCH AND TRAINING PROGRAMS OF THE SECVBD TO TACKLE EMERGING VECTOR-BORNE DISEASES, WITH AN INCREASED FOCUS ON TICKBORNE DISEASES AND TICK BITE-ASSOCIATED ILLNESSES.
