who lead innovative and impactful projects; projects that are part of a systemic
approach to social, environmental and cultural change.

Through our cutting-edge approach, we support people and projects that help
change the world: boldly and innovatively, over the long term, with active and
tailored support, in order to publicise them, promote them, and perpetuate their
actions.

WE TAKE ACTION TO:


GIVE CONFIDENCE IN THE FUTURE

By supporting equal opportunities programmes, the BNP Paribas Foundation helps
to fight against various forms of exclusion, particularly in disadvantaged
neighbourhoods. We also support the voluntary and personal commitment of the
Group’s employees. In 2023, 7.65 million euros were raised for these causes:

ACCELERATING AND EMPOWERING



UNDERSTAND AND PROTECT THE PLANET

Climate change and biodiversity loss are two of the greatest environmental
challenges of our times. Since 2010, the BNP Paribas Foundation has been funding
international research on the interactions between climate and biodiversity,
through France’s largest environmental philanthropy programme: with 24 million
euros and 35 research teams worlwide supported – i.e around 500 scientists – and
almost 1 million people made aware of environmental issues.

UNDERSTANDING AND ALERTING



SUPPORT CULTURE AND MAKE IT ACCESSIBLE

As a special partner of contemporary dance and circus, as well as jazz, the
BNP Paribas Foundation places artistic creation and access to culture at the
heart of its cultural philanthropy. Its goal: to create wonder. Boldness,
creativity, youth, accessibility and inclusion are the hallmarks of our actions.
In 2023, 2.14 million euros have been dedicated to support nearly 60 artists,
institutions and festivals.
