The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland’s mission is to help transform
Ireland into a society based on sustainable energy structures, technologies and
practices.

SEAI coordinate the Prototype Development Fund programme,
http://www.seai.ie/Renewables/Ocean-Energy/Prototype-Development-Fund/, which
stimulates the development and deployment of Ocean Energy (OE) devices and
systems.

SEAI is a member of OCEANERA-NET, http://www.oceaneranet.eu/, a network of 15
national and regional funders and managers of research and innovation
programmes, from 8 European Countries. OCEANERA-NET coordinates funding
programmes between European countries and regions to support research and
innovation in the ocean energy sector.

SEAI and the Marine Institute developed Ireland’s Marine Renewable Energy
Portal, http://www.oceanenergyireland.com. This portal guides users through the
marine renewable energy development supports available in Ireland.
