Head over to our admissions page to find out more about sending your child to our inclusive school. WELCOME TO WILLOW TREE PRIMARY SCHOOL ‘SMALL SCHOOL, BIG HEART …. NURTURING POTENTIAL, INSPIRING CONFIDENCE.’ Dear Visitor, On behalf of all the children, staff and Governors of Willow Tree Primary, I would like to welcome you to our website. As we continually develop as a school, we look forward to keeping you informed and celebrating our achievements and work via this space. Our website has been designed to provide you with information about the work and life of our school and to provide you with an understanding of the values that are important to us. I hope that you find it both interesting and informative and that it will answer any questions that you may have. Our school motto states: “Small school, big heart …. nurturing potential, inspiring confidence.” and this is very much the case. As a highly inclusive school, who supports the learning and social needs of a diverse range of pupils our greatest goal is to meet the needs of all the pupils we serve and ensure that they are all the best they can possibly be, in all respects, whilst thoroughly enjoying their time in primary school. We take great pride in the academic achievements of our pupils and the progress and attainment that they make; whilst always seeking ways to enhance this further. Our creative curriculum, excellent international links, and exciting and fun themed weeks and events are some ways in which we provide an innovative and stimulating approach to learning for every child. We recognise the importance of our role in developing our pupils as rounded individuals, who will develop further into responsible adults. As a result, importance is placed on developing the values of good behaviour, respect, manners and caring attitudes. Celebrating achievements and developing self esteem is embedded in our practices. But we realise we cannot achieve our aims in isolation and therefore we are highly committed to developing positive relationships and strong partnerships with parents and value the input they provide into their child’s education and the life of the school. I do hope that you enjoy navigating this site and that it will reveal that we try our utmost to make the primary school experience of our pupils a happy, rewarding and successful time in their life. If you are thinking of sending your child to Willow Tree Primary School, I would highly recommend a visit, and it would be a pleasure to show you and your family around. Mrs E.
