While product design looks at the design of tangible solutions, the Service &
Systems Design discipline looks at the entire problem ecosystem within which the
solution will live. We look at stakeholders, activities and challenges as
"ecologies", and use visual mapping techniques to understand and tackle their
complexity. We consider information, relationships, touch points, material
components, and other relevant linkages when evaluating how and where to
intervene within the service to make it more efficient, useful and desirable by
its end users.

INDUSTRIAL AND PRODUCT DESIGN

We work with our partners to develop innovative products that are sustainable,
scalable and support growth of the local industry. We aim to develop products
that are both suitable to the needs of intended users and do not harm the
environment. Our studio is equipped to facilitate prototype development and
fabrication using a variety of materials as well as 3D printing. We work with
partners across the different stages of development, from research to idea
development, prototyping, production and implementation.

HUMAN CENTRED DESIGN (HCD) & RESEARCH

DwB applies an integrated human-centred approach that adopts ethnographic
research methods and tools from social and behavioral sciences to create useful
and meaningful products and services by placing users at the centre of the
design process. Our methods employ both data-based and behavioral analytical
approaches with creative, empathetic and participatory methods as a means to
create better solutions, more actionable plans and sustained engagement,
championed by the key stakeholders involved.
