C.E. BYRD HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION


CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION!


SCHEDULE OF EVENTS


THURSDAY, JUNE 5

 * Hall of Fame Induction Dinner (Evening) – Dinner honoring the 2024/2025 Hall
   of Fame inductees at the Convention Center. We will sell tables and
   individual tickets to this event.


FRIDAY, JUNE 6

 * Golf Tournament (morning/lunch) – Taking place at Querbes Golf Course.
   Everyone is welcome to sign up to play! Registration is open and can be found
   on the Byrd alumni website.  See byrdhighalumni.org/golf-tournament for more
   information
 * Documentary release (all day) – Throughout the day there will be showings of
   the Byrd Centennial documentary at the Robinson. This is still in production,
   so if you know someone who should be interviewed, please let me know!
 * Decades Reunions (evening) – All the decades will be celebrating at various
   locations downtown. Contact Jennifer Earnest and Jill Favrot for more
   information!


SATURDAY, JUNE 7

 * 5K Race – We will host a 5K walk/run at the school to start the day!
 * Open House at Byrd – Come by Byrd to visit with former faculty, graduates and
   friends. Throughout the day, we will have assemblies and pep-rallies
   highlighting all of the fun we remember from Byrd! Food trucks will be at the
   school if you want to grab food! We will also have lots of memorabilia
   displayed for viewing!
 * Ultimate Reunion – Join us at the Convention Center for our 3rd Ultimate
   Reunion! Everyone is invited to help us celebrate 100 years! We will have a
   band AND a DJ to keep the party going.

COMMON QUESTIONS

WILL WE NEED TO BUY TICKETS? 

Yes, we will be selling tickets to the Hall of Fame dinner, documentary and the
Ultimate Reunion. Ticket prices have not been finalized yet, but we hope to
begin selling in September.

WILL THERE BE SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES? 

Yes! We are finalizing a variety of sponsorships options to fit any need! These
will be available at the same time as the tickets.

ARE THERE HOTEL ROOM BLOCKS?

Yes, we currently have 2 room blocks at the Hilton Convention Center and Sam’s
Town. Feel free to begin booking or sharing the link!

WILL THERE BE TRANSPORTATION? 

We are finalizing transportation plans, but we will have valet on Friday night
at the Robinson. We also will have shuttles on Saturday for the Open House as
parking may be limited at the school.

WHEN WILL INFORMATION BE SENT OUT? 

Hopefully soon! We are finalizing a few important items, but we hope to send out
ticket and sponsorship information in September. All of the information will be
found on the Byrd alumni website, but we will also send out a paper mailer to
everyone we have in our alumni database.

HOW CAN YOU HELP? 

Our most urgent need right now is updated information for everyone! Please
encourage your classmates to update their contact information by going to the
Byrd alumni website. If you would like to receive your class list to make phone
calls, that always helps as well! Reach out to Jennifer Earnest for your class
list: jenniferearnest1@gmail.com. 

CAN WE MAKE A DONATION AND WHERE WILL DONATIONS GO? 

Of course! The Alumni Association is always taking donations. Your donation can
go towards initiatives in one of the following categories:

 1. Faculty support
 2. Student Life
 3. Facility Improvements

The Alumni Association Board of Directors will manage how the money is spent by
working closely with the school on current and future needs.
