HANNAH and COOPER Menu * Home * Our Engagement * Wedding Party * Events * RSVP * Travel * Gift Registry More PLEASE JOIN US FOR OUR WEDDING CELEBRATION ON March 15, 2025 OUR STORY We met the summer after 8th grade at Super Summer Christian Leadership Camp, 2015. We didn’t go to the same church, school, or even live in the same city, but saw each other for a few days each year at Super Summer. While we didn’t talk the first year, or really even the second, by July of 2017 we were sitting next to each other during worship and taking walks around Samford’s campus to talk for hours. Fast forward to summer of 2019, we had both graduated from high school and Super Summer, and were finally able to travel and visit each other’s home towns for the first times. This was the first time we really considered the possibility of a relationship, but when it came time for us to transition to college, Cooper to Auburn and Hannah to Mobile, the decision was made to just be friends and live our separate college lives (but if you ask Hannah, it was all Cooper’s idea). Freshman year came and went, without much contact aside from a brief “Happy Birthday” text and the awkward catch-up that comes with it. But come October of 2020, Cooper reached out to Hannah and said he was ready to try long distance, he knew it would be hard, but he also had confidence that it would be worth it. Hannah, however, wasn’t so sure. But Cooper, the patient guy that he is, simply said “That’s alright, I’ll wait.” As anyone would expect, occasional texts turned into phone calls, which became FaceTimes, and soon enough we were talking for hours, just like we had 3 years earlier. And we both knew. Cooper agreed to visit Hannah in Mobile the weekend of her roommate’s birthday party in December 2020, and that’s when we officially started dating, knowing we’ve loved each other all along. Long distance wasn’t easy, but we can both agree it’s been worth it. We’ve traveled thousands of miles for each other, and it’s safe to say we’re excited to be taking those road trips in the same car soon enough!
