If you get an email that says it's from Facebook, here are some ways to confirm that it's really from us. CHECK THE ADDRESS You can trust an email if the address ends in: * facebookmail.com (including priority.facebookmail.com) * facebook.com (including support.facebook.com and developers.facebook.com) * fb.com * metamail.com * meta.com However, look out for a misspelt version of any of these, as it might be someone pretending to be Facebook. LOOK FOR OUR LOGO If you use Gmail, Yahoo Mail or Apple Mail, you can trust the email if the Facebook logo appears alongside our email address. CONFIRM THAT WE EMAILED YOU Go to facebook.com/recent_emails/security or: Click your profile picture in the top right of Facebook.Select Settings and privacy, then Settings.Select Accounts Centre, then Password and security.Below Security checks, select Recent emails.View security emails (such as a request to change your password) from the last year in the main SECURITY tab. View any other emails sent in the last two days in the OTHER EMAILS tab. Note: If we send an email containing a special link or a security code, we may hide that information in your settings to help protect your Facebook account. You'll need to be able to log in to your email account in order to view it. MORE INFORMATION * What to do if you still think that the email is suspicious. * Choose what you get notified about.
