<3 LOVE SONG

The Blue Room Theatre 53 James Street Mall, Perth, WA

Three people meet at the same moment. They embark on a relationship that
radically challenges conceptions of romantic love–other people’s and their own.
Their love will be tested by the misunderstandings and assumptions of everyone
else in their lives. Will they cope? Written by beloved experimental singer,
composer and poet Sage J Harlow (Sage Pbbbt), <3 love song is a queer love poem
exploring the joys, hurts and dangers of non-normative love, set to live
original music played by avant-garde dream team Annika Moses (Nika Mo, Great
Statue), Lyndon Blue (Heathcote Blue, Leafy Suburbs) and Josten Myburgh (Land’s
Air, Ghost Gum Reverb). This […]

THE EDGE OF REALITY

The Blue Room Theatre 53 James Street Mall, Perth, WA

A night of incantatory spoken-word and experimental music by two acts working on
the margins.   The Definitives are the resident band at DADAA Midland. This
motley crew of poets and visual artists draw on their lived experience of mental
illness to create whimsical vignettes propelled by freewheeling rhythms. Their
work has been hailed by experimental music legend Robbie Avenaim, while
collaborations with local musicians Josten Myburgh, Annika Moses and Eduardo
Cossio have brought the band a word of mouth following.  Jenny
Hickinbotham inhabits multiple voices, perspectives and temporalities to
explore mental ill-health with pathos and playfulness. She teams up
with softronics producer Plyanci for a new set […]

TONE LIST PRESENTS: GUYLAINE COSSERON & DIEMO SCHWARZ (FRANCE) / MGMGMGMG /
KIRSTEN SYMCZYCZ & BEN GREENE

PS 22 Pakenham St, Fremantle, WA

Tone List presents the third concert in our ad-hoc series for experimental
music, upstairs at PS in Walyalup/Fremantle. The collective MG create work
reflecting a shared interest in world building, alternative cosmology,
experimental lorecraft, and situated transgression. They have integrated video,
musical improvisation, drag performance, noise, light, wet materials, spoken
word and written word, and embodiment practices. Guylaine Cosseron is an
animalistic singer exploring a 'total voice' where all components of vocal
sound are part of musical expression. Diemo Schwarz is based in Paris and an
active contributor both to improvised music practice using computers, and to
emergent research on concatenative synthesis, a technique where tiny particles
of […]

incandescent collaboration. Mystic performer and visual artist Lonnie Holley and
prophetic jazz poet Moor are joined by revolutionary free-jazz ensemble

universally acclaimed recent releases — Lonnie Holley’s Oh Me Oh My, which was
named Best New Music on Pitchfork, and Moor Mother’s Jazz Codes, which The
Guardian hailed as ‘a stunning continuum of Black music’. The interwoven
energies of these three artists […]
