KIM KLAWUHN

Kim Klawuhn has been a professional writer for 25 years with a background in
public relations and tech writing, which gives her a strategic perspective,
ensuring every idea is targeted and every word counts. She’s helped several
college students, including her own daughter, with the college application
process and is a volunteer essay coach with Mission Scholars.




JENNIFER KRAMER

Jennifer Kramer has been a professional writer for 25 years with a background in
creative writing and journalism, balancing personal narrative and story with a
sharp eye for editing. She’s currently working with her own daughter on the
college essay process and is a volunteer essay coach with Mission Scholars.


WHAT WE DO




The college essay—or essays if we’re real!—is a critical part, and often the
toughest, of the application. The common app is a personal narrative where
students paint a picture of themselves, tell their story, and really turn the
volume up on who they are. Our applicants already have strong resumes and plenty
of bullet points, but this is where they get to shine. 


 * We work 1:1 with students to brainstorm, outline, structure, revise and
   refine essays, start to finish.
 * We take on the process so students can enjoy it (yes, it can be fun!) and
   parents can step back and enjoy their kids, not the overwhelm.
 * We help students identify how they stand out and encourage their authentic
   voice.
 * We help them produce compelling stories that are unique to them and
   unforgettable!




PROVEN RESULTS

Our students have been accepted at the following schools: UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC
San Diego, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, University of Washington, Marist College,
Columbia University and many more.
