self-deprecating wit, his turn is as assured as his typically efficient
direction, which balances suspense and poignancy with aplomb. Pursued by Bradley
Cooper’s ambitious DEA agent, who’s similarly striving to meet the requirements
of a demanding boss (Laurence Fishburne), Eastwood’s protagonist proves another
one of his broken-down big-screen warriors. Eastwood’s lined visage and creaky
comportment can’t dull his fiery spirit in this based-on-real-events drama,
which finds the Hollywood icon amusingly raging against modernity’s
Internet-and-smartphone addictions, even as his down-on-his-luck character
grapples with the familial cost of putting personal obsessions above all else.
In his first performance in six years, Clint Eastwood brings an elegiac
gracefulness and good humor-not to mention defiant toughness-to the role of a
90-year-old flower aficionado named Earl who opts to work as a drug runner in
The Mule.

of Gold Point Ghost Town B&B or overnight 30 minutes away in Goldfield and
sightsee some more funky desert art on your way back to Vegas the next morning,

you’ll instantly see why this place is easily the most photographed ghost town
in Nevada. Next time you’re in need of a blast from (and with) the past, pack up
and point your car in the direction of these six ghost towns outside of Las

COMING OUT ON TOP GAMEPLAY

After escaping a cage, Hornet finds herself in a new kingdom called Pharloom,
far removed from Hollownest, where a new and unknown curse has infected most of
the bug population. From the little shown in this trailer, and some more
gameplay footage, some story elements have come together. While the art style is
unmistakably Hollow Knight, all the settings shown are completely new. So
there’s still heaps of mystery, but the player will really quickly - even if you
haven’t played Hollow Knight - get a basic idea of who Hornet is, her attitude,
and her starting goals.” The trailer also highlights several key details the
game will have, including 150 new enemies, new bosses, friendly NPCs and towns
with quests to take, and tools to find and use. William Pellen was quoted in an
interview regarding Hornet’s character stating, “She’s able to express her aims
and intentions and stuff, which then means that you can’t really hide her
intentions or objective from the player. She can speak, for one thing, giving
her far more personality. Hornet is more than just a visual change from The

previously did battle with in Hollow Knight, Hornet. The reveal trailer for
Hollow Knight: Silksong debuted in February 2019, showing off even more of the
gorgeous animation and gameplay we saw in the first game. Based on how
successful the original game was across all platforms, we would think, or maybe
just hope, they wouldn’t keep it locked to just PC and Switch permanently, but
until we know more, those are the only places you can be sure to get it when it
launches. That all depends on what, if any, deal Team Cherry has with Nintendo
on being a console exclusive. However, the original Hollow Knight was initially
only a PC game, later coming to Switch, and then finally hitting the PS4 and
Xbox One consoles, so it is possible Silksong will have a staggered release as
well. PlatformsĪt least for the time being, Hollow Knight: Silksong is only
officially announced as coming to the Nintendo Switch and PC. Being the first of
the month, that sounds like a placeholder date at best, and official word is
that nothing in that leak is an official confirmation, so take that with a major
grain of salt. According to this leaked info, which you should obviously not
take as fact, we will see this game on February 1, 2022. It was first announced
with a trailer in February 2019, but we can assume it began development right
after the last DLC wrapped up since it was originally planned to be DLC
itself. However, a leak may have revealed the release date for Hollow Knight:
Silksong, among many other titles, in the September 2021 Nvidia database data
breach. Officially, we have no word on when Hollow Knight: Silksong will be
released.

   Things have gone mostly silent regarding development since the announcement
   that Silksong would be a stand-alone title, but there have been morsels of
   info here and there. Initially planned as yet another piece of DLC, Hollow
   Knight: Silksong, originally called Hornet, became so large that Team Cherry
   decided to make it a full sequel. The team continued working on the game for
   the following year with four pieces of DLC that expanded the game’s world and
   added new enemies, bosses, quests, and game modes. Team Cherry, the
   three-person team behind Hollow Knight, didn’t stop there. Combined with the
   tight platforming controls, light souls-like elements, satisfying upgrades,
   and cryptic story, Hollow Knight soared to the top of many critics’ and
   players’ favorite games lists. The immaculate hand-drawn art style made even
   the dank, drab world full of bugs known as Hollownest such an endearing place
   to explore.
   
   The original Hollow Knight first released in 2017 and was immediately
   recognized as one of the most impressive entries in the Metroidvania genre,
   indie or not.

ONE WILD MOMENT 1977

If the premise was nothing but a pervy, titillating drama it might get boring,
but the script by Lisa Azuelos and director Jean-François Richet is sensitive
enough about the where the characters are in their lives. Is it all a sexist,
middle-aged male fantasy? Of course it is, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth
watching. Getting Antoine even more riled up and baying for blood is a subplot
about the wild pigs of the local countryside that threaten to destroy his garden
and his bloodlust to take them out with the stash of shotguns in the house.
Louna is entranced, convinced the pair are in love and will be together forever,
while Laurent is horrified at what he’s done in the heat of the moment, and when
Antoine gets wind of her daughter’s having been seduced by a much older man, he
resolves to catch the guy exact the singular wrath of an overprotective father.
Laurent is divorced, Antoine on the verge of it, and they want nothing more than
to relax and unwind for a few weeks with their girls in a dishevelled but
beautiful house in rural Corsica that’s been in Antoine’s family since he was a
boy.īut it’s hard for Laurent to ignore how much Louna has grown up, and when
the girl develops a childish but passionate crush on him, the ”Wild Moment” of
the title sees them consummate their lust on the beach the night of a hedonistic
dance party. Middle aged friends Laurent (Vincent Cassel) and Antoine (François
Cluzet) go on holiday with their respective teenage daughters, Marie (Alice
Isaaz) and Louna (Lola Le Lann).

Remade in 1984 by legendary Hollyood director Stanley Donen as ”Blame It On Rio”
(starring Michael Caine, Joseph Bologna, a teenaged Demi Moore and Michelle
Johnson in her debut role) from the French original ”In a Wild Moment” (1977),
it’s a story of star cross’d love and lust it seems could only come from the
French and not be supremely creepy as a middle aged man has a torrid affair with
a teenage girl. The idea behind ”One Wild Moment” is such an idea. As this
review was written, Bradley Cooper’s ”A Star Is Born” remake was about to be
released, something of a reminder that – like ”One Wild Moment” – some movie
plots are so timeless (or maybe just marketable) a studio or director could
conceivably do a remake every two years and find a new angle.
