Pembury Tours provided excellent service, value for money and a fabulous
holiday. We were recommended to Pembury Tours when we contacted Lalibela Game
Reserve asking about a safari and planning a trip to South Africa. I looked at
their website and reviews on Tripadvisor which were all positive. I e-mailed
Pembury Tours and was contacted by Tammy Harding. What impressed us was the
prompt response, the attention to detail and a real desire to get things exactly
how we wanted. Paying money these days over the internet is always a worry.
However, the systems Pembury Tours have in place worked well and were
reassuring. All the accommodation was excellent. We had an unbelievable time at
Lalibela, the staff were amazing, the food excellent and of course the animals
and safari drives 1st class. Having Tammy at the end of a phone was reassuring
just in case we had an issue. But the trip ran like clock work and every need
taken care of. Well done Tammy and everyone for making our holiday a trip to

What a WONDERFUL trip this was. After 2020 being out of the question for travel,
we set our sights on travelling in 2021 and what a trip it was. You cannot go
wrong with a safari in Botswana – I don’t think it can be beaten. On the Chobe
River, in Savute and then the wildlife in the Delta – the rest was just icing on
the cake. We will definitely be back in Africa – perhaps East Africa for our
next safari adventure before heading back to Botswana in a few years time. We
will be contacting Pembury for both – that’s for sure! Thank you so much Gail
and Pembury Tours in putting this wonderful safari together – we could not have
done it without you. Knowing you were there every step of the way and in contact

We had the MOST wonderful time in Africa this year! We can’t believe the places
we saw and the experiences we had! The game viewing in Hwange, The Delta and
Chobe was out of this world! We have so many photos and memories that will last
a lifetime. We had a taste of South Africa with Johannesburg and Cape Town
included in our trip but there is so much more we want to see. There will be a

So you are thinking of coming to Africa on safari. First time? Been before?
Either way, we think it is a smart move on your part to visit Africa. Southern
Africa is the cradle of humankind – so every single person living in the world
today originates from Southern Africa. You will be coming “home”!

Africa is many things – it is exotic, exciting, wild, it offers a sense of the
unknown, it never ceases to surprise, it is beautiful, the people are beautiful
– on the outside but especially on the inside.  When the “Africa bug” bites, it
is a permanent thing – one has it for life and it is not uncommon for visitors
to do many dozens of visits to Africa and not only for a safari.

But Africa is also complicated – things don’t always work to schedule. Sometimes
things don’t work at all! A ferry might have a broken engine, a bridge might
have collapsed or, horror of horrors, the internet connection might be down!
 Those who have been to Africa before will know this. But it is times like these

ferry, the ingenuity and “plans” that get made at a collapsed bridge,
philosophical words uttered when phonelines or internet connections fail – words
like “don’t worry – tomorrow the sun will still rise”.
