Our Swim Instructors hold both International and National Qualifications. With
over 20 years of experience, Xcel Swim Academy will teach every single lesson
with Love, Passion & Skill!

SWIMMING LESSONS


BABY & TODDLER CLASSES | 30 MINUTES

BABY CLASSES: AGES 0 - 18 MONTHS

TODDLER CLASSES: AGES 18 - 36 MONTHS

Our unique classes are progressive, loads of fun and the perfect time to bond
with your water baby! We incorporate specifically designed, playful exercises
into our lessons and in doing so we instill confidence and skill in both swimmer
and parent.

LEARN TO SWIM & STROKE CORRECTION | 15 MINUTES OR 30 MINUTE PRIVATE, 1 ON 1
LESSONS

FOR ALL AGES FROM AGES 3 YEARS UP TO ADULTS

You are never too young or too old to master the skill of swimming! Swimmers are
first taught the skills they need to learn to swim. Once swimmers are confident
and water safe, we work on the different swimming strokes. We believe in a good,
technically sound foundation so that every swimmer can excel in their respective
swimming programs and future competitive career if they wish to do so.

GROUP TRAINING | 30 MINUTES

This is the ideal opportunity for swimmers of similar age and ability to enjoy
an energized swimming session together! Group training is aimed to bridge the
gap between stroke correction and squad swimming by easing swimmers into
slightly longer sessions, focusing on technique and a little bit of fitness.

ADVANCED SQUAD TRAINING | 45 MINUTES

FOR OLDER CHILDREN & ADULTS

Our Advanced Squad training focuses on building an aerobic capacity without
infringing on technique. These sessions are perfect for swimmers competing at
school level galas, biathletes, triathletes, anyone wanting to do swimming as an
extracurricular activity or for those that want to swim for general fitness.

OUR POOLS

All the pools that we use undergo a rigorous vetting process to ensure they are
suitable and appropriate for all types of swimming. Special care is given to the
pool where we offer Baby and Toddler Swimming.


51 BOTTERBLOM STREET, VIERLANDEN, DURBANVILLE

Our cozy facility is purposely built for Baby & Toddler classes, Learn to swim
and small Group training. The pool is enclosed, 1.2m deep and is heated to an
inviting 31-33 degrees celsius.


CAPE GATE VIRGIN ACTIVE

** Virgin Active membership required **

The Cape Gate Virgin Active pool is 25m long and 1.2m deep. The pool is perfect
for Learn to Swim classes, Group training and Advanced squad training. Please
note that we do not teach Baby & Toddler classes at this venue.
