The world's first tea factory, established in 1859, Makaibari is one of the
oldest tea gardens in India. Located in Kurseong, it is the only tea garden in
Darjeeling owned by an Indian family throughout from its inception with no
British connections. We have traveled and sampled their exquisite clonal cups of
summer 2021 that are rare to find this season. This cup is immensely smooth. As
you sip, soft floral notes of honeysuckle and amaryllis envelop the palate right
at the start. Muskmelon with notes of grapes envelops the palate towards the
middle. The aftertaste is of honey, a sublime experience of Indian Summer
Harvest 2021.

distinct character to it. Sweet, floral notes similar to honeysuckle and
amaryllis envelop the palate right at the start and gradually grow into
prominence. Luscious flavors of muskmelon interlaced with delectable notes of
grapes is discernible around the edges and towards the back, rendering a layer
of depth and vivacious intensity to the cup. A soft honeyed sweetness lingers on
in the aftertaste, making for a sublime Summer experience from this iconic tea
estate.

Great nose and delicious flavour. The packaging was simply amazing - it
preserved the tea absolutely perfectly. And, I used to be a Tea Taster! To top

Exquisite Tea! Bridges the gap between a first flush and second flush with its
light floral essence and bright character. I'm so happy I discovered Teabox. I
