EXPLORING THE POWER OF CHEMISTRY
The Chemistry program at UA Little Rock offers enriching courses that are
designed to prepare students for graduate study, medical school, secondary
education, or careers in the chemical industry. Courses are grounded in
problem-solving using both practical and quantitative reasoning skills.
Undergraduate chemistry students participate in labs in general, organic, and
quantitative chemistry.
Students are prepared to address chemical problems from nuclear to biomedical
issues and everything in between. Our graduates go on to have careers in
medicine, chemical industrial research, teaching, energy and waste management,
and biotechnology.
Our faculty are committed to supporting student research at both the
undergraduate and graduate level. Additionally, we use active learning in our
introductory classes which encourages students to get involved in their own
learning.
