SURREY EXPLORERS

The club for children with potential to learn and enjoy a range of educational
activities each month and during school holidays. Sign-up for a range of
educational FUN activities in London.


ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN WHO WOULD LIKE TO LEARN MORE...

Surrey Explorers is based in Putney and is the only branch in the London area.
We provide activities for children who would like to learn more than school can
provide, but we are open to all children with high learning potential.

TO INSPIRE CHILDREN IN EDUCATION

Small educational talks organised by Surrey Explorers includes a subject Speaker
and a group activity for a couple of hours, usually led by a guest teacher or
tutor, to stretch and inspire children up to the age of about 13.

 Suitable for children with special needs SENG.


EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Originally designed to support the emotional needs of gifted children (SENG) are
a part of a national charity (NAGC) now renamed as Potential Plus to encourage a
wider uptake in educational attainment of children with target talks and
activities.

Potential Plus is a recognised nationwide educational UK charity.

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT IN EDUCATION IS ALWAYS WELCOME HERE...

We do not replace school, we encourage school but schools work to a rigid
timetable that leaves no time for many children to discuss what interests them
most. Our local activity groups has time to explore the subject and children
become more confident with asking questions.

CHILDREN LEARN BEST IN SMALL FRIENDLY LOCAL EDUCATION GROUPS

Small educational group talks that are based around intresting subjects not
always taught (or covered much) in school. Our talks are designed to be wide
ranging and subject specific that a child may have an ability in already.

INSPIRING CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES FOR OVER 20 YEARS!

Surrey Explorers run and organise qualified speakers, writers, demonstrators,
teachers and tutors who are specialists in their fields. Parents are encouraged
to take part in any club activity with their child. Surrey Explorer activities
can range from a morning talk to an all day activity with lunch provided.
Parents can also help - if they are able, as club volunteers. Parents can also
choose, or suggest subjects that may be included in future talks and activities!

EXPLORE STEM ROCKETS!

Fire up you children's imagination by encouraging problem solving with
educational challenges - designed to stimulate and engage. Join a STEM club with
educational talks by skilleds tutors. with no obligation to attend each time,
join a local STEM session for children to make friends and progress together.
Open to new members.

SURREY EXPLORER STEM ACTIVITIES!

Surrey Explorers STEM Club, open to all, meets on Sunday afternoons in
Putney rotating between topics in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.
The aim is to push beyond the school curriculum with a small group of
like-minded well-motivated 8 - 13 year- olds. The sessions will be hands-on with
an emphasis on problem-solving.
