WOMEN AND CHILDREN FIRST!

Αυτό το Σάββατο, 10 Μαρτίου

και ενώ όλα κυλούν “κανονικά” πάνω στη γη, οι CRASH NORMAL το διαστημικό ντουέτο
γαλλικής προελεύσεως, προσγειώνεται για 3η φορά στο Κ/Σ με σκοπό να μελετήσει
τις συνήθειές μας και να  εμφυτεύσει στους εγκεφάλους μας χορευτικά τσιπάκια 
που εξαϋλώνουν τον ζόφο.

Τα δύο γοητευτικά ανδροειδή , οι Ζερόμ και Ετχιέν έχουν σκοπό να εξακοντίσουν
πλοκάμια βουτηγμένα στο γράσο του πιο βρώμικου γκαράζ του παρισιού, που θα
γλιστρήσουν ανεπαίσθητα ανάμεσα τα πόδια μας σφυρίζοντας τρωγλο-φουτουριστικές
μελωδίες, ικανές να μεταλλάξουν τα ακουστικά μας όργανα και τη “κανονικότητά”
μας μια και καλή και για πάντα.



Οσοι παραμείνουμε ρουτινιάρηδες και αρχίσουμε να σκεφτόμαστε “Τί θα γίνει
επιτέλους με εμάς?”, δεν υπάρχει λόγος να ανησυχούμε. Ο Μπεν, γνωστός και ως THE
REBEL το πιο παράξενο μέλος της πιο περίεργης μπάντας που φτιάχτηκε ποτέ
(Country Teasers), αηδιασμένος από την ανθρωπότητα θα κάνει μία ύστατη
προσπάθεια. Όχι, δε περιμένει να χορέψουμε. Αυτός ο άντρας είναι μία σαλεμένη
ιδιοφυία – ένας επαναστάτης – και έχει διαφορετικά σχέδια για εμάς.

Με όπλα του μία κιθάρα μάρκας “Keep off this!” ένα casio και τη συνεργό του Σόφι
να κρούει ρομποτικά τα τύμπανα της επανάστασης θα επιτεθεί στην  “κανονική”
μουσική με σουρεαλιστικούς χαοτικούς ήχους και στοίχους που μυρίζουν  Γουίλιαμ
Μπάροουζ. Μας ξεχειλώνει την αντίληψή  μεχρί τελικού αφανισμού

Εξάλλου, όλο το ανθρώπινο είδος πρέπει να αφανιστεί…

Κι ‘όπως θα έχουμε μείνει με τα στόματα ανοιχτά, ένα πλοκάμι με γεύση αρουραίου
που κοιμήθηκε σε  βρεμένο τασάκι, θα εισβάλλει να μας αποτελειώσει.

Δεν χρειάζεται να επιστρέψουμε στην κανονικότητα, αλλά δεν μπορούμε να μείνουμε
κι’εδώ.

Despite everything, we still trudge on, in the hope of forgetting our knees deep
in shit and enjoying a good show with friends. So, this Saturday March 10, in
accordance with our garage fuzz addiction, The Rebel and Crash Normal will be
taking the floor.

You should know by now who Crash Normal are, seeing as they have visited our wet
hole twice already. As for who The Rebel is, he’s the brain behind the Country

METHOD TO OUR MADNESS: UNDERWATER CHESS


“EVERY CHESS MASTER WAS ONCE A BEGINNER…”

Κάποτε το σκάκι λεγόταν ‘το παιγνίδι των βασιλιάδων’, γιατί παιζόταν κατα κύριο
λόγο απο μέλη του ανώτερου κλήρου, βασιλιάδες, πάπες, αυλικούς και ευγενείς απο
Δύση και Ανατολή. Σήμερα το σκάκι λέγετε ‘βασιλιάς των παιγνιδιών’, ως το
δυσκολότερο και επιστημονικότερο, για μεγάλα μυαλά και όχι μεγάλες τσέπες.

Αμα το σκεφτείς, η ζωή είναι σαν το σκάκι. Κι εμείς έχουμε διαλέξει τα μαύρα
πιόνια. Μελετήσαμε τον αντίπαλό μας, προβλέψαμε τις κινήσεις του και οργανώσαμε
την αντεπίθεσή μας προσεχτικά. Με τη διαφορά ότι δική μας σκακιέρα είναι ο
δρόμος και βασιλικό μας ζεύγος η αγάπη και ο σεβασμός. Πύργοι μας είναι η
αντίσταση και η δημιουργικότητα. Στο δικό μας παιγνίδι όλοι οι πέσσοι έχουν αξία
και οι στρατιωτικοί δεν πολεμάνε με όπλα, αλλά με νότες, οι ιπποίς καβαλάνε
κιθάρες και τα πιόνια μας στήνουν χόρο.




Την Ακάθαρτη Δευτέρα 27 Φεβρουαρίου του οσίου έτους 2012, οι Underwater Chess,
ένα τρίο απο την Ξεσσαλονίκη, έρχονται στο Καταραμένο Σύνδρομο για μια γερή
παρτίδα μουσικού σκακιού. Ο Πάνος (κιθάρα, μέλος των Bad Trip και Johnny
Carbonaras, καθώς και των επευφημημένων S.INK, που είχαν κυκλοφορήσει το 2003 το
Time and Timing στην Poeta Negra), ο Μιχάλης (βιολί, φωνή και μέλος του
ακουστικού σχήματος του Μπάμπη Παπαδόπουλου) και ο Γιώργος (samples and sound,
επίσης μέλος των Σαλονικιών Bad Trip) υπό την συνοδεία πειραματικών μίξεων,
ηχογραφημένων καθημερινών ήχων, κινούμενων εικόνων και πειραγμένων μελωδιών, θα
μπλέξουν την μαυρίλα των Godspeed You! Black Emperor και του Brian Eno με τον
λευκό θόρυβο του Aphex Twin και τον ωμό μινιμαλισμό των Einstürzende Neubauten,
σ’ένα άκρως πειραματικό improv παρουσιαστικό, ενθυμίζων Fred Frith. You have
been warned…
