MEET TRANSWORLD BUSINESS ADVISOR AND BROKER DANA SMITH

After living in the central Sierra Nevada mountains for 26 years and selling our
real estate and vacation rental businesses, my wife and I relocated to San Diego
where I made a lateral move into business brokerage, a close cousin to real
estate brokerage. I was in the real estate business for 39 years, and the
vacation rental business for 24 years.

I have represented my clients’ interests in transactions and property
management, involving one of the most valuable assets they own, for many years.
During my years in real estate, I represented numerous clients purchasing and
selling their businesses, as well as representing myself in business
transactions.  I have always been drawn to the business side of life. It is
intriguing for me to analyze the numbers and details of solid businesses as a
part of the process of valuing and marketing them for sale. I love working with
buyers and sellers and the negotiating. Business brokerage was a natural next
move for me, and I am really enjoying it.

I look forward to meeting with and speaking with good people every day who are
interested in improving their lives by buying or selling a good business. The
process is exciting to me. I know that my experience doing what they now plan to
