 * Institute’s Pilot Program to Address Health Inequities

   UB’s Community Health Equity Research Institute is launching its first-ever
   pilot funding program to address health equities and adverse social
   determinants of health. The institute will fund two projects with a maximum
   budget of $40,000 each.
   
   
   



 * Surtees Named Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education and STEM Outreach

   Jennifer A. Surtees, PhD, professor of biochemistry, has been named associate
   dean for undergraduate education and STEM outreach at the Jacobs School of
   Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
   
   
   



 * Family’s Donation to Asthma Center Honors Loved One

   A family’s untimely loss has resulted in a meaningful commitment to an annual
   donation to UB’s Child and Family Asthma Study Center.
   
   
   



 * Destigmatizing Menstrual Health Focus of Initiative
   11/17/23
   
   The medical student-run OB-GYN Interest Group is providing free sanitary
   products in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in order to
   instill a more supportive environment for everyone and to destigmatize
   menstrual health.
