GREATER ARLINGTON CHAMBER ANNOUNCES NEW BUY LOCAL CAMPAIGN: KEEP IT LOCAL

The Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the launch of
its new campaign, Keep It Local Arlington, which is committed to promoting
experiential and consumer-focused local businesses. The Keep It Local campaign
connects the residents of Arlington with local, brick-and-mortar businesses for
those spontaneous moments when we want to get out and do something new, change
the routine.

“Although 400,000 people call Arlington home, we have the heart of a small town.
As a community, we invest in each other’s successes. We know that when our local
businesses succeed, our community succeeds, and supporting them needs to be at
the forefront of our minds,” said Chamber President & CEO Michael Jacobson, “The
Keep It Local campaign is a reminder that when we spend dollars to support those
in our backyard because they’re the fabric of Arlington.”

The campaign includes an ever-evolving microsite featuring local establishments
broken out into four categories – shop, eat & drink, refresh, and explore. Shop
highlights business from gifts to everyday needs. Eat & Drink includes
restaurants, cafes, bars, treat shops and so much more. Refresh lists businesses
like spas, barber shops, yoga studios, nail salons and more (non-medical
personal care). Explore underscores establishments that give consumers unique
experiences and activities like horseback riding and axe throwing.

“As a Chamber, we are dedicated to championing economic and community prosperity
through growing our members’ businesses and fostering economic prosperity,” said
Chair of the Chamber Board of Directors Dr. Kenyon Godwin, “We say it all the
time at the Chamber ‘Together, we succeed’. It’s never been more true. I’m a
small business owner, and I know that by supporting my fellow entrepreneurs, be
it chefs, florists or even aerial yoga instructors, we are a part of something
greater in this community. Keep It Local highlights these businesses on digital
platforms with a fresh approach to meet residents where they’re already actively
engaging.”

Keep It Local Arlington is open to all experiential and consumer-focused local
businesses that have brick-and-mortar stores in Arlington, Pantego and
Dalworthington Gardens. Chamber membership is not a requirement to be listed on

The campaign launched at the Fourth of July Parade in Arlington, the largest in
the State of Texas. The initiative will continue expanding across the community
through digital, grassroots efforts as well as partnerships with community
stakeholders.
