So I don't want to do that either, yet people still accuse me of "fear
mongering". In spite of my many efforts, like this one, to educate people about
what EtreCheck is and what it really does, people sometimes still don't get it.
Another idea is heavy marketing, which I'm not willing to do.

What did I get from that? Tumbleweeds and crickets. I tried adding powerful,
one-of-a-kind features like the Analytics display. If anyone has a good idea to
crack that problem, I would love to hear it. But without some means of support,
there is no software at all. Consumer software, with free content, is just a
beast. I realize that some people don't like it when developers charge money for
features. For more advanced users like on this forum, the Power User package
also has a very powerful Analytics display that is unavailable in any other app.
And because of problems from people like Brawdy14, it also provides an option
for people who don't want to post anything on the internet. The Power User
package breaks that up into digestible chunks with lots of supporting
information and links. The free report for posting on the internet is a wall of
undecipherable text for most people. The Power User package is designed for
those people that want to run EtreCheck on a regular basis and review the report
on their own. This functionality is also available for free. As the screenshot
above suggests, the ideal response to these issues is to post a question on

Realistically though I realize I am the minority, at least in my home game where
everyone is fine playing with dice chips and old paper cards. If it were up to
me, I would have custom paulson chips, a professional dealer, and a designated
floorman to clarify any disputes that were to come up. Listen, at the end of the
day we are all on this forum because we love the minutiae and authenticity of
the game. The sentence “home game stakes do not require such rules” is a massive
oversimplification of what I was trying to say but I understand how you can get
that from my post. When there is hundreds or thousands of dollars on the table
things can get tense even with friends.Ĭlick to expand.I’ve forgotton the golden
rule that the internet is a horrible place for a nuanced opinion lol. If you are
playing higher than micro stakes in home games then yes, there should be more
strict rules in place. I’d rather have a full game with people who might be
doing some annoying things from time to time than play 4 handed with people who
want the perfectly run home game. So yeah, sometimes someone will rebuy for like
10 bb’s or want to rabbit hunt or something but at these stakes those things are
basically minor annoyances and not a major concern.

I also only play with a small circle of friends that I trust and any other
players who join are usually vouched for by them. 50/1 does not usually
represent life changing money for anyone and an attempt to put strict rules in
place generally just stuffs up the game and makes the game seem more serious
than it is to players who are just looking to have fun and drink a few beers. My
#1 home game rule is that home game stakes should be “fun” stakes meaning that
the need for hard and fast rules will be mostly unnecessary. 3 strikes and you
are out for 3 strikes rule: If your behavior warrants 3 corrections, you will be
_" (banished/burned at stake/taunted a second time/given a pacifier and made to
play with it in your mouth). 3 strikes rules: if you missbehave (calling names
ect) you get a strike. Please handle chips, cards, table carefully YUP

Getting 9 players to agree on straddles will never happen.I guarantee at least 3
want them and at least 3 don't, whether they admit it or not. If all players
agree we can do a Straddle I would recommend either allowing a single straddle
or just saying NO Straddles. "House does not give credit" then let players
figure it out on their own I don't take any responsability for that. If a player
gives credit to another for player it is there own thing. If a player cashes out
and wants to return later, he has to bring at least the same amount of money

even with my high end 16" Macbook Pro from just last year, the simplest of
PixiJS applications can cause the fans to come on, even when my game is only
covering 1/4 of the screen.

interesting question, because in the past I only had issues with Ozone or Tonal
Balance Control but never with Nectar, even running it in multiple tracks at the
same time. So I can easily save, close Reaper, open again and the problem is
solved.

So maybe the issue can approach more to a corrupted audio file than a Nectar 3
issue.Īt the same time, I have experienced other issues with Izotope plugins
(like Ozone 9) which suddenly stop working, but they do not crash the whole
project. Some of them rendered good but others didn't. Nevertheless, it appears
that some particular tracks are more likely to crash than others, which I
confirmed trying to render each individual vocal track. In the project I am
currently working, there are around 9 vocal tracks, and in some parts of the
song 8 play simultaneously. I have noted this issue after last Reaper update,
and it seems to occur when I have multiple tracks with Nectar on them playing at

tracks had only one FX on them (Izotope Nectar 3) which never gave any problems
to me in the past. But I noticed that it tended to happen before some of the
tracks were about to play. After doing some changes, I hit play to listen how it
sounded, and when it reached a certain part of the song, Reaper unexpectedly
crashed.Īfter opening again and hitting play again, it crashed again but not
necessarily at the same part than before. I built the session as I usually do,
imported the audio tracks and started editing. Exact PC, operative system,
plugins than last months. It all started since the last project I am working on,
which I commenced a few days ago.

Sadly, it is not a happy thread, as I have been experiencing some weird and
unexpected crashes that never happened to me before in all the years I've been
