This of course gives our Product Team lots to think about, from reviewing and prioritizing feedback to making sure customers stay in the loop and informed. That’s where Okta Ideas comes in, allowing our customers to submit feature requests/Ideas for consideration in our Product Roadmap. Here’s everything you need to know about Okta Ideas. HOW TO SUBMIT AN IDEA: * From the Okta Help Center, click the Community dropdown menu and select Ideas * Click Make a Suggestion * As you fill out the title of your Idea, any similar Ideas will pop up automatically. Click “I want this” to cast your vote, or click “Subscribe” to stay in the loop. (NOTE: adding a “thumbs up” to an Idea casts your vote and automatically subscribes you, but subscribing alone doesn’t cast your vote) * If a similar Idea doesn’t exist yet, be sure to enter a clear and descriptive title, fill in the details, choose your module and hit Suggest. (NOTE: Please make sure you’re thoroughly answering the questions in your submission. The more we know about your Idea, the more accurate we can be when reviewing your Idea) WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? Your Idea will be reviewed by the Okta Community Team to determine if a similar Idea has been submitted. Duplicate ideas will be removed or merged so we encourage you to search for your request in Okta Ideas. After your idea passes an initial review, it will be available for the Community to vote and comment on. (NOTE: Votes are an important signal to our team about the demand for a feature or enhancement, and we consider them when building our roadmap). Ideas that receive enough engagement in the Community when will be reviewed by the Product Team for roadmap consideration. Official responses will be posted in the Ideas portal so you can easily see the status of your feature request and exactly where it is in the lifecycle. IDEA STATUSES: WHAT DO THEY MEAN? When viewing an Idea, the "Request status" box to the right of the Idea title will let you know where an Idea stands. Below are the definitions for each of the available statuses: * Not Reviewed: This Idea is newly submitted and is pending review by the Okta Community Team. * Awaiting Feedback: This Idea has been reviewed by the Ideas moderator and is now open for the Community to vote, prioritize, and add additional detail in the comments section. If your Idea received enough engagement by the Community it will be passed on to our Product Management Team for review and consideration in our product roadmap. An Idea will stay in this status until a product manager identifies it as an Idea that he or she would like to add to the roadmap * Not at this time: The Idea/feature request doesn’t fit into our current Okta product strategy or didn’t reach a sufficient level of Community engagement. You can learn more about what we’re currently working on by visiting our product roadmap: https://support.okta.com/help/s/productroadmap * Product Review: The Idea has been passed onto our product team for review and consideration in our product roadmap. * On the Roadmap: The Idea is on the roadmap under active development and delivery is planned. The Idea status will be updated when the feature is ready for release. Note: Though this is planned for release, no time commitments are made using Okta Ideas. For more information please reference the Okta Product Roadmap. * Released: The Idea has been delivered and is generally available. No further updates will be made to the Idea. FAQS What’s new about Okta Ideas? We’ll be the first to admit that the Ideas program hasn’t been given a lot of love lately, but we’re changing that, working hard to develop a new Ideas framework to amp up the feature request process. Here’s what you can expect: * New statuses & external messaging: We revamped the statuses within the Okta Ideas portal so you can easily see the status of your feature request and exactly where it is in the lifecycle. * New submission questions: We’ve also made some changes to the questions we ask customers so we have just the right level of information to take action and/or close the loop on your Ideas. How are we closing the loop with customers on existing Ideas? Our Product Management Team is reviewing existing Ideas and informing those relevant customers of the submission status. We’re also archiving customer Ideas that had limited engagement or were obsolete, so be sure to submit those Ideas you believe in so they can be captured and reviewed in our new lifecycle workflow. What are some best practices? * Search first! Your suggestion may already have been submitted by another customer. * Vote or comment on others’ Ideas that are important to you. * Prioritize the Ideas you're created + voted on so our product team understands what matters the most to you. * Stay up to date with the status & relevant information of your Ideas How are we closing the loop with customers on existing Ideas?
