Hunt gather on GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium with the first group of students
receiving the Chiefs Kingdom Spirit Scholarships as part of UMKC's partnership
with the Chiefs. The students are celebrating as they wear red t-shirts and hold
UMKC-Chiefs-branded footballs. Scene 2: A saxophone player performs with the
Mob, UMKC's enthusiastic pep band, during the Healthcare Delivery and Innovation

More than 95 percent of our first-year students and 87 percent of our transfer
students receive financial aid every year they attend UMKC. Plus, all eligible
residents of the United States can qualify for in-state tuition and fees under
our Roo Nation scholarship.

Qualifying Pell Grant-eligible students go to UMKC for free. That’s because our
Roo Advantage Scholarship covers the gap between scholarship and grants and any
remaining tuition and fees.

CHIEFS KINGDOM SPIRIT SCHOLARS CELEBRATED AT PRESEASON GAME

Nearly two dozen UMKC students were cheered on by the crowd at GEHA Field at
Arrowhead Stadium
As part of the university’s five-year partnership with the Kansas City Chiefs,
the Chiefs Kingdom Spirit Scholarship provides unique scholarships and
behind-the-scenes opportunities with the championship team. UMKC is a proud
higher education partner of all four major professional sports teams in Kansas
City — the Royals, Kansas City Current, Sporting KC and the Kansas City Chiefs.

UMKC DAY AT DISNEY 100

Now at the Bank of America Gallery in Union Station, the Disney 100 exhibit
features more than 250 artifacts from the historic vault of the Walt Disney
Archives.
Join us for UMKC Day at Disney 100 on Saturday, October 19 for special UMKC
presentations, including Walt Disney's Kansas City and a maker activity with
staff from the National Museum of Toys and Miniatures. Presentations are
included in exhibit admission purchase.
