I have a lot of it and I haven’t been building in the last few years. Now is the time to liquidate all those bricks to make way for new things in my life. Here is a breakdown of what I have: * 75+ sealed sets. I have listed them on a spreadsheet with prices here. * 60+ large pick-a-brick cups for $10 each * hundreds of 16×16 plates in various colors for $2 each * A lot of bulk elements (some sorted, some unsorted) that I’ll be selling by volume: quart sized grab-bags for 10$ and gallon bins for $30. I’m not going to be shipping (or delivering) anything. Buyers will need to come to me and pay either cash or paypal. I live in Portland, OR, near the Lloyd Center. If you’re interested, please message me on Instagram. I’ll update this post as things progress. Thanks! MICROPOLIS MONDAY: SILVER TAPER October 31, 2022Modelsarchitecture, micropolis, Micropolis MondayChristian Curves are difficult to capture in LEGO. The more complicated the surface, the more parts intensive and technical the solution. So of course I decided to play about with conical shapes for my latest building. Continue reading Micropolis Monday: Silver Taper → MICROPOLIS MONDAY: RAINBOW TRIO October 24, 2022Modelsarchitecture, micropolis, Micropolis MondayChristian I keep coming back to low rise urban buildings. I love feel of densely-packed, smallish, brick buildings. They offer so much character and such an easily imagined history. Continue reading Micropolis Monday: Rainbow Trio → MICROPOLIS MONDAY: ZAG TRUST BUILDING October 17, 2022Modelsarchitecture, micropolis, Micropolis MondayChristian Sometimes a building is about just one detail. Sometimes they sing with just one note. Continue reading Micropolis Monday: Zag Trust Building → MICROPOLIS MONDAY: SMALL FACTORY October 3, 2022Modelsarchitecture, micropolis, Micropolis MondayChristian I’ve been getting inspired by industrial architecture from science fiction concept art. My city has been lacking in industrial buildings, yet I don’t want to build sprawling manufacturing complexes either. This fictional futurism lets me have small buildings with implied purpose and complex details. Continue reading Micropolis Monday: Small Factory → MICROPOLIS MONDAY: BREWERY September 26, 2022Modelsarchitecture, micropolis, Micropolis MondayChristian Though I’m not a big beer drinker, I have fond memories of the breweries of Portland. During the fourteen years that I lived there, I found myself passing one brewery or another just about every day. It seems an oversight that it has taken so long to add one to my city. Continue reading Micropolis Monday: Brewery → MICROPOLIS MONDAY: DUO APARTMENTS September 19, 2022Modelsarchitecture, micropolis, Micropolis MondayChristian I’ve been in a LEGO funk for ages. Life has been turbulent and the enduring pandemic has kept me bottled up. Recently though, I’ve realized that I want to design more futuristic buildings. I want to create a future worth living in. Continue reading Micropolis Monday: Duo Apartments → MICROPOLIS MONDAY: ARCOS TOWER September 6, 2021Modelsarchitecture, micropolis, Micropolis MondayChristian This building is inspired by some pictures I saw of a local building, the Rainier Square Tower. I was immediately taken by the gentle curving taper. Of course, I mis-remembered some of the details and went in a different direction with my building. Continue reading Micropolis Monday: Arcos Tower → MICROPOLIS MONDAY: ESSENTECH FACTORY August 23, 2021Modelsarchitecture, micropolis, Micropolis MondayChristian Inspiration has been coming inconsistently of late. This one came to me as the illustration of a spaceship, which imagining industrial buildings with a sci-fi flair. So I tucked into designing a futuristic factory. Continue reading Micropolis Monday: Essentech Factory → MICROPOLIS MONDAY: AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY August 2, 2021Modelsarchitecture, micropolis, Micropolis MondayChristian The last few weeks I’ve been a bit off, a mix of burnout and complete lack of inspiration. It was a pleasant surprise last week when I finally saw a building that sparked my fancy. It was refreshing to fire up my stream and enjoy the process again!
