Dance Packages


Our sessions are usually 75 minutes each, except for the “Crash Course,” which
is a 60-minutes lesson. In each session, you will have a private room all to
yourself, which helps improve the communication between you and your instructor
by cutting down on the noise around and the eyes on you—before you two are ready
to shine!


Please note that we have a 24-hour cancellation policy—cancelation within 24
hours before session/lesson, the full lesson fee will be charged.

Easy $365
Try our easy-going package if you plan to have a simple and relaxing
choreography. Or you’re both already able dancers, proficient in several
ballroom steps. Our instructors will help you develop choreography for your
chosen song and polish your performance. The two sessions (75 minutes/session,
150 minutes total) will be conducted in a private room.

Focused $995
You are two months away from the event. This 6-sessions package allows you to
prepare up to one and a half minute choreography in a medium-pace song. Our
instructors will walk you through the proper frame, hand-holds, and presentation
technique. We ensure you look great together after six sessions (75
minutes/session, 450 minutes total). You will use the music facility without
interruption in your private room.

Dedicated $1,150
You are a planner, and you are looking for a spectacular dance. So you are going
to get it! We will take the song (or songs) you select, develop choreography and
teach you to dance like you’ve been doing it your whole life. What you learn
will last a lifetime. These eight sessions (75 minutes/session, 600 minutes
total) will be conducted in a private room. Not sharing space means you don’t
have to dance in front of strangers!

Last-minute Crash Course $158
If you have an last-minute need to learn the basic, look comfortable on the
floor without an extensive choreography, you may take this 60 minutes crash
course special.

Touch up on Zoom $55
When you purchase one of our lesson packages and complete the first session with
one of our instructors, you may book “Touch up on Zoom” to gain supervised
practice online. This session is 45 minutes total, set up to help our wedding
couples familiarize themselves with their new choreography.

With over a decade of teaching wedding couples, our independent dance
instructors can share your vision in wedding style. We aim to create a memorable
wedding dance that matches your personality simply because this is all about
you.

Carmen




Carmen started dancing in 1998. Being a visual designer and professional
competitive ballroom dancer, she puts a lot of her time into art, design,
cultural studies, and physical training.

When Carmen’s time is not occupied with the arts, she is enjoying time with her
family. She is excited to share her knowledge and love for dancing with wedding
couples in New York City.


Catherine




Catherine is originally from Liverpool, England, where she began dancing at the
age of five in ballet, tap, and modern and then transitioned to standard and
Latin at 11 when she fell in love with these styles.

She was trained in England in International Standard and Latin. She competed
nationally and internationally, achieving many accolades, including City of
Liverpool Amateur Ballroom champion numerous times, a regional finalist in both
styles, British National semifinalist, and North of England Amateur Ballroom
finalist.

She moved to New Jersey in 2015 to teach at a franchised dance studio for three
and half years, where she taught social, wedding, and competitive students. She
won top teacher at numerous events, and her students placed top in their levels
and age categories in several competitions worldwide.

Catherine has managed and taught at a studio in New York City and teaches in a
studio in Hackensack, NJ.

Catherine competed professionally in the US, training with world-class coaches.
She was a finalist in numerous local and regional Professional Rising Star and
Open Professional Ballroom competitions.

Catherine is qualified with the US Terpsichore Association in all four styles,
international standard and Latin, American Smooth and Rhythm at licentiate level
and fellowship international standard and Latin, and an NDCA championship
licensed adjudicator.

Dancing and teaching is Catherine’s absolute passion, and she loves to share
this with her students. Catherine has taught many wedding dances for bride and
groom, mother and son, and father and daughter. She looks forward to working
with you on preparing for your special day.

simple steps for our first dance. Carmen went above and beyond and made it very
fun, learned our song and what steps would be most appropriate, and went through
it with us numerous times. We didn't want a full choreography, but it was clear
from our lesson with her that she would be exceptional at teaching one. Thank

We met Carmen for a consultation with a few songs in mind, and immediately she
suggested a few potential dances and took the time to explain to us what she
thought of each song and showed us the few possible dances we can do with the
songs. We picked our song and Carmen started working on building a danceable and
fun choreography for us. My fiancé is not very good at picking steps but Carmen
was very patient with him and he is comfortable with the whole choreography.
Carmen was really flexible with scheduling, she’s great communicating with us
through calls and text, and ALWAYS ON TIME at our lessons. She made us feel
super confident with our dance. Although we only did 5 lessons, all of our
guests were impressed with what we did which was exactly what we were hoping
for!

Since 2007, Wedding Dance NYC has helped New York City wedding couples to
choreograph their wedding dance / first dance / ballroom dance. Even when you
are absolute beginners, our teachers guide you starting with basic connections
and handholds.

Still, the challenge for dance teachers is that every couple has different
needs, abilities, and schedules. However, most couples have the same
goal—creating a memorable dance to celebrate their unions. Therefore, our
knowledge of teaching and dancing comes in handy.

As your big day is approaching, you will experience more stress. Relax and leave
this task to us. Our instructors can create a dance choreography that is
uniquely yours.
