Some quick advice...
For each of the questions, answer with the response that most closely matches
what you would do.
Remember, no one will have access to your specific results (unless you want them
to!) so take the chance to reflect and be truly honest with yourself – even if
right now you’re not completely the version of yourself that you know you can
be.

You are sitting in a jam, late for your meeting. What do you do?
Send a message to others joining the meeting to let them know. Use the time to
mentally prepare for the meeting.
Nothing. There is nothing you can do about it.
Complain to yourself about the other vehicles around you and maybe honk at them.
Question 1 of 12
You meet someone close that seems very happy and fulfilled in their life. What
do you do?
Disconnect from the person thinking that you have nothing in common anymore.
Envy them for their luck and wish you had the same luck.
Curious to learn from the person as to what has worked for them to be like that
in their life.
Question 2 of 12
You’ve just received a piece of negative feedback. What do you do?
Start thinking of ways to learn from it. Thank the person for the feedback and
return the favor.
Get annoyed with the person giving you the feedback.
Nothing. It’s just their opinion.
Question 3 of 12
You don’t feel appreciated enough and that you’re taken for granted. What do you
do?
Become grumpy and start withholding your gratitude as well.
Talk to the person and express how you feel. Try to find a common
appreciation-language.
Accept it. You must not have done enough to earn any appreciation.
Question 4 of 12
Someone offloads their frustration on you. What do you do?
Space out and just let them talk without fully listening.
Listen and then try to help them reframe the situation. Is there perhaps a
perspective to it that they are not seeing?
Join in. Confirm and encourage their frustration. That’s how to show support.
Question 5 of 12
Someone close to you has done something that has really upset you. What do you
do?
Talk about the person and what they did with mutual friends.
Don’t say anything. You don’t want to upset them.
Address it directly with them and share how you felt and why.
Question 6 of 12
Someone close to you has just been diagnosed with a serious disease. What do you
do?
Start disconnecting from the person and keep busy to distract yourself from how
you’re feeling.
Get angry at the situation. Think ‘why is this happening to us?’
Spend more time with the person doing things that you’ve both wanted to do but
haven’t done.
Question 7 of 12
You need to decide on what to order for take away. What do you do?
Let someone else pick. It’s not like your opinion is ever heard anyways.
Let someone else pick. Easier to just others decide.
Give your opinion. Let majority rule.
Question 8 of 12
You feel exhausted at work and things keep piling up on your desk. What do you
do?
Keep accepting tasks but deliver them at a lower level of quality.
Prioritize and communicate to those around you – leaders and colleagues about
the decisions. Ask for help.
Complain to your colleagues. Work more hours. Blame others for not doing their
jobs.
Question 9 of 12
You don’t feel like work is helping you grow, and you’ve been unhappy for a few
months now. What do you do?
Discuss it with your colleagues – they must feel like work sucks too?
Nothing. I’ll just focus less on work and let time pass.
Talk to your leader about it to see what can be done. Reach out to your network
to explore other possibilities
Question 10 of 12
You have just taken on a task that you don’t know how to solve. What do you do?
Spend hours trying to find solutions on the Intranet, Internet, books, etc.
There must be a way, and you must be the person to find it
Ask colleagues for help. Gather a small group to brainstorm
Postpone the task or pass it on to someone else
Question 11 of 12
Your organization is going to lay off some people to reduce cost. You don’t know
what that means for you. What do you do?
Get on with your work and keep extra quiet in meetings. Maybe they won’t notice
you.
Continue working as you would. Have a conversation with your leader about how
you contribute, now and going forward.
Get angry at management for their decisions and spend time discussing
frustration with colleagues instead of working. Why help those that want to fire
you anyways?
