It specializes in researched scholarship on the work and life of Ernest Hemingway. THE LETTERS PROJECT The Hemingway Letters Project is producing a comprehensive scholarly edition of the author’s letters. The edition is being published by Cambridge University Press in a projected seventeen volumes. ONE TRUE PODCAST Through interviews with scholars, artists, government officials, and other luminaries, One True Podcast explores Hemingway's life, work, and world. GRANTS The Hemingway Society offers annual Lewis-Reynolds-Smith Founders Fellowship grants, an emerging scholar prize, and travel grants to graduate students and independent, unaffiliated, or disadvantaged scholars attending our conferences. We also advise on the JFK Library Hemingway Research Grant awarded each year. WEBINARS AND CONFERENCES The Hemingway Society holds biennial conferences in places significant to Ernest Hemingway, in both U.S. and international venues. The conferences feature scholarly and creative treatments of his life and work. PEN / HEMINGWAY The PEN/Hemingway Award, established in 1976 by Ernest Hemingway's widow, Mary, is given for a novel or a book of short stories by an American author who has not previously published a book of fiction.
