GREEN HOUSE GOLF ACADEMY

WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF THE GREEN HOUSE GOLF ACADEMY’S
HEART & SOUL LUNCHEON AT THE MIRACLE SPRINGS RESORT, DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA ON
MARCH 21, 2023.

ABOUT

The Green House Golf Academy is a non-profit organization found in 1998. This
was right about the time Tiger Woods was taking the world by storm and the
interest in golf was never higher. The whole world took notice of golf. More
than 20 years later the golf industry is still riding that wave of excitement
made by Mr. Woods. The sport has become increasingly more competitive and also
more expensive. College golf has gone up a notch and is now becoming televised
like football & basketball. The idea of fewer young people from underserved
communities getting exposure to an opportunity of a life time has becomes
increasingly unacceptable. There are ways to extend a positive invitation to
learn golf to those who would otherwise not get the exposure. Our GHGA will be
building bridges between those with a desire to learn the game and the greater
world of golf through our youth & community programs.

GOAL

Our goal is to have a positive impact on the way people of all ages, but
especially the youth who would otherwise not get the exposure; get a welcoming
invitation to be apart of the game of golf. Through our GED Program (Golf,
Education & Direction) we will be able to share some of the game of golfs
inherent benefits of exercise , time away from tech, honesty sportsmanship,
cooperation, and most importantly time to have fun in a refined social
environment.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our non profit organization is working to grow the game of golf for a those who
otherwise may not get the opportunity for a positive & welcoming invitation to
learn the game and become a golfer. We also will be a witness to a bright future
where people of all different backgrounds feel as those they have a stake in the
game and industry.

It is my pleasure to recognize Green House Golf Academy, under the leadership of
Executive Director Vincent Shack, on the 2022 Heart & Soul Community Luncheon,

extend a positive invitation to golf for youth who would not otherwise benefit
from having these opportunities.

Thank you for your efforts, as a nonprofit based in the Coachella Valley since
1998, to grow the game of golf and provide youth and community programs to
pursue greater inclusion and diversity in golf. Best wishes for continued
success.

THE GOLF, EDUCATION, & DIRECTION PROGRAM

(GED PROGRAM)

GOLF & EDUCATION
The GHGA will start the golf learning process with an Optimistic Invitation to
try a new sport. Simply come out to one of our free / low cost clinics, and take
some of your natural abilities out to hit a ball. These introductions at the
right time in the life of a young person will increase the likelihood, or
probability TODAYS young person will find his or her way to their prospective
high school golf program. The high school golf programs are in a great position
to provide a tremendous amount of learning. The GHGA will work to insure there
will be a healthy number of young golfers eager to join their prospective high
school golf teams.

The GHGA will use golf facilities (i.e. courses, driving ranges, indoor golf
centers.) to provide free / low cost golf clinics. Golf instructions will be
provided by PGA Professionals, and qualified volunteers to young people at
approximately Junior High School level. These clinics will ask for the parent or
guardian of the participant to also participate in the free golf introduction.
This kind of increased familiarity to golf will result in a better chance of
keeping those families around the game of golf.

DIRECTION
The Green House Golf Academy will provide direction to participating youth
through our golf programming. Golf is growing in some specialized areas for
athletes. College golf is now being televised on national broadcast. For a young
golfer to be ready for interscholastic golf an early introduction is required.
Also there is a resurging interest in bring Golf back into the Historical Black
College & Universities. Those HBCU are starting new programs, or providing more
support to existing programs. The work of the GHGA will assure a healthy wave of
golfers from diverse backgrounds to help fill those teams.

I, Vincent Shack, am an African American, always have been. In my position as
Executive Director of the GHGA I represent the less than 1% of minorities on the
business side of the golf industry. The direction provided is in my actions, and
commitment to participate. I chose to work, and to be apart of the game and
industry of golf. People of all ages need role models and in my presents, or
present roll in the golf industry, I enrich the direction of inclusion &
diversity within my chosen profession. Other people will be encouraged to pursue
their own goals within the golf industry.
