   Five stars for Torrance Yokocho! This spot captures the essence of Japan with
   its vibrant atmosphere and delicious food. I ordered Yakitori, Ramen, Onion
   Salad, Sushi and Karaage, every dish is bursting with flavor. The staff is
   friendly and attentive, making for an unforgettable dining experience. Can't

   Decor is on point. Brought back great memories of the streets of Japan but
   the food was average. Nothing stood out except the server telling us our time
   at the table was limited when there was no wait on a Saturday evening with
   only half the dining area full. Didn't feel welcomed

   Came here for an early Father's Day dinner tonight 6/15. The inside is so
   well decorated and the lay out is great. The atmosphere is amazing.
   
   Service is attentive and pretty quick one you order through your phone. Scan
   a QR code at your table and that link takes you to the menu and ordering.
   
   We had the karaage , chicken hearts , shishito peppers, daily pickled
   vegetables , edamame, assorted tempura , ground chicken ball , tuna roll,
   french fries , pickled cucumber and pork shoulder . Every single dish was
   delicious.

   Staff were friendly, the ambient was actually nice..
   But you can tell they're just figuring things out, wife only received a glass
   of water in the 40 minutes we were sitting there, our items were delivered to
   another customers, the server didn't bother to double check before delivering
   the food, and when I told her that the beef was mine, she just walked to
   another table and delivered the item, comes back and says we're out of that
   plate.
   
   I finished my beer and my wife and I stood up, went to the host station, paid
   for our bill and left.
   Hopefully things get better, but our experience was not great. We won't come
   back anytime soon.

   Such a cool little spot to hang out with friends, kick back a couple drinks
   and snack on yummy meats!
   
   Seating - The options are between sitting at the open table area among other
   parties, at their countertops or the fun small booths which have these
   curtains that give you and your party your own privacy. (We were sat in the
   private booths)
   
   Ordering - There are QR codes at the table, that make it easy to place you
   orders and receive quickly.
   
   The service - The servers deliver your items in a timely manner. We had very
   minimal interactions (which we actually preferred) so we had no complaints.
   
   The food items menu range from a variety of Appetizers, Skewers, Sushi Rolls,
   Karaage, Ramens, desserts, etc... and a decent selection of alcoholic
   beverages (which the drink prices were actually very reasonable as well)
   
   This was a good first time experience for me and my group. We definitely will
   be back with more friends to try this spot!

   This place just opened up a few weeks ago, and they told me it's the soft
   opening so I'm being nice and giving 3 stars...
   
   It's located in the strip mall right next to Lunasia and has a really cute
   vibe with bar seating and private type booths.
   
   The food overall wasn't bad but nothing amazing and the portions were sooooo
   small...
   
   We started with the gobo chips and they were too oily and not really
   crunchy..
   we also had the cucumber which was $6 for only a few slices of cucumber
   marinated in salt...I could've made a way better cucumber dish...
   
   The yakitori wasn't bad but some of the items like the asparagus was a joke
   with five very thin slices...
   
   I think my fav thing here was the harami steak as that was seasoned well but
   the meat was a bit tough as I think they had overcooked the beef...
   
   I was excited that a new izakaya opened up but was pretty disappointed and
   hope it gets better once they do the grand opening...

   Love this new spot! Def has the Japan Yokocho vibes. Ordering was super easy
   and so many options to choose from. 2.5 hr limit but that's more than enough.

   Monday evening - it took more than an hour for the last dish to come out,
   other tables were waiting forever around us... (one table had guests getting
   up to fetch water and ice themselves) and we had to just cancel whatever
   didnt come out so that we can leave. They are very understaffed in the
   kitchen and need to figure it out.

   This was mid-trying to be kind since this is their first week/soft opening.
   But the tempura was weird; it is soft not crunchy at all, it wasn't even hot
   when it came out not at all what you'd expect for tempura. The prices are
   high for what you get.
   
   The service isn't bad and the decor is nice.
   
   But overall needs some ironing out.
