WHY USE SHIELDCO?

 1. Skilled Team - Take out the guesswork by working directly with someone who
    can answer your questions and guide you in the right direction. We offer 3D
    mockups before designs go to production so you can be certain of what your
    final product will look like.

 3. Full In House Fabrication - We own all the equipment needed in fabricating
    your sign so we can make adjustments quickly if needed.

    product you need. Shipping is included in all our prices and we custom crate

METAL SIGNAGE

While the majority of what we make is business signage, we do a ton of
personalized metal signs for individuals.

These signs can be found at a lake house, ranch, or some other personal space.
Or they can even be a gift for a special someone. What doesn’t constitute as
business signage falls into the category of metal signage.



Why use metal for my sign?

Metal is a great choice for material for signage because of its strength and its
versatility. It won’t crack or degrade like plastics and it won’t rot like wood!

We primarily use aluminum because it doesn’t corrode in our atmosphere and
because it is so light weight! The vast majortiy of our signs weigh less than
60lbs, the many of them weighting only 30-40lbs. This allows our signs to be
easily installed on drywall with anchors and no additional support in the wall.

A drawback of steel is rusts if left outside. But this is a nice feature if used
in the right circumstances. It’s beautiful how the rust on steel will always be
unique.

Stainless steel is the premier metal in terms of strength and corrosion
resistance. You can also achieve mirror polished finishes on stainless steel
which is particularly beautiful. The only drawback of stainless is it’s weight.
If we made our signs out of stainless steel they’d often be 150-200lbs. This is
why we opt for aluminum for the majority of our projects and only use stainless
steel when absolutely necessary.

MILITARY SIGNAGE

And Military Signage is really a part of both Metal Signs and Business Signs, we
do so much work with our armed forces that we had to give them a special
designation on our home page. Their badges, patches and insignia are just so
cool and they give us a lot of freedom to design them how we think they’d look
best.



Did you know that Walt Disney created many of the military patches that are
still in use today? During a rough period of Disney’s history in WW2, Walt had
to find work for his designers and got a contract with the US armed forces to
create videos and logos. You can tell which logos his team created (or were
created in his likeness) - with the interesting playful charaters.

more and more opportunities to just make art.

1) The Inquiry (Free Quote)

Fill out the inquiry form here - www.shieldcoart.com/free-quote

The more information you are able to provide, the less we will have to collect
from you later and we will be able to provide you with a more accurate quote.

Aside from your contact info, the most important items to provide are: an image
of your logo, an image of where the sign will go, the size you would like, and
whether or not you would like to add lighting.


 





2) The Quote

Before we officially quote your project, we would love to have a conversation
with you on the phone to talk about the specifics of the project. We’ve learned
in almost every situation, there are particular requirements that are best
uncovered through an informal conversation with one of our sales members. We
quote in wide ranges to allow us to modify the sign and continue to hone in on
the exact price after our conversations. We can make your custom metal sign in
various ways to match your style and budget. If you are unable to talk on the
phone, we can certainly work with you via email, but we prefer to make the
individual connection with each of our clients. 

3) 2D Mockup

Have an idea but not sure if it will turn out?

If you are happy with your project quote and would like to move forward, we then
make you a 2D mockup to demonstrate how your sign will look.



3D Mockup

After approving your 2D mockup, we then turn your custom design into a 3D mockup
to show exact scale, depth, perspective, and lighting elements. There’s no
commitment to purchase after the 3D mockup.

The 3D mockup is important to clearly communicate how ShieldCo will fabricate
your sign. You can rest assured that your sign is going to look just like the
mockup.

4) Deposit Payment and Fabrication

We will send you a link to your project’s unique store page, where you can
review every detail of your sign. These details, along with the 3D mockups are
what we are agreeing to build and deliver to you. You use your project’s unique
page to make the initial deposit payment. Fabrication takes around 6-8 weeks on
average, after initial deposit payment.



5) Final Photos and Payment

Once your sign is complete, we take final photos for your approval. You then
access your unique project page to make final payment to initiate packing and
shipment.

6) Shipping

After receiving final payment we painstakingly pack your sign for shipment.
We’ve perfected the packing of our signs using custom-built boxes, fit to your
projects unique dimensions. In the thousands of signs we have shipped, we pride
ourselves on a 100% successful delivery rate. We build our boxes out of 2x4s and
plywood, packing each part with multiple layers of foam and support so your
masterpiece will arrive as pristine as possible.
