A VIDEOGRAPHER & PHOTOGRAPHER BASED IN MAINE. This all began for me in the classroom, where as a homeroom teacher for 4th and 5th graders, I took the hamburger in a bun structured essay and flipped it into a medium kids actually cared about: VIDEO. And no, video wasn't the dessert at the end of the meal. Video was the main course; the vehicle for teaching basic writing techniques and structures. I quickly realized that this medium allowed vibrant stories to come alive because they cared about the story they told. They gained empathy and understanding of each other. My role took on one of the listener, always observing and reacting to the moment; helping each one of them tap into their creative visions.
