HOW IT'S MADE | THE MAST

According to the 37th America's Cup Protocol, some components of the new AC75
yachts are One Design, and the mast is one of them. This means that it is the
same for all boats participating in the Barcelona edition and cannot be
subject to research and development. The production of a mast conceived to
deliver top performance, and simultaneously comply with specific measurements
and precise parameters, is no simple feat. Brendan Jones, Boat builder and
mast construction manager at Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli takes us through the
manufacturing process of the AC75 mast.

   AC75 SAILING

In a perfect synthesis of form and function, Luna Rossa is the highest
expression of technology applied to yachting. Conceived by Luna Rossa Prada
Pirelli's design team and built at the Persico Marine shipyard in Nembro,
Luna Rossa involved its entire pool of engineers and naval architects (40
people) in the development and executive phase that required more than 70,000
   hours of work

HOW IT'S MADE | BOAT BUILDERS

The best people to describe how Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli's new AC75 for the
37th America's Cup was born are those who built it, starting from the moulds
to the  launch. A job that requires great precision and coordination, in
which the team's technicians (Ben Field, Mariano Lucca, Lukas and Roman
Blascik, Keith Sexton, Marian Catargiu, Leandro Antoliche, Carlos Cardona,
Tamas Tompa) and those of the Persico Marine shipyard worked together for
long months in a synchronous and impeccable manner with one common goal: to
build the fastest boat to win the America's Cup.
