About Us SOME INFORMATION ABOUT WILLOWS, CALIFORNIA... * Willows was once a watering hole surrounded by shady Willow trees where farmers would stop between Sacramento and Redding to water their cattle. * With the creation of I-5, Willows is now a thriving community and a major stop for travelers year-round. * Gas Stations, Fast Food, Restaurants and Coffee Shops at the west end of town create a simple on and off the freeway experience. * Thunderhill Raceway Park is 7 miles west of town and attracts visitors from all over the world, 363 days per year. * West and south of Willows are 2 water experiences, the Stony Gorge Reservoir and the Sacramento Wildlife Refuge. * Visit the Mendocino Forest, a lush landscape of mountains and trees, perfect for sportsman and naturists alike. * Willows is an agricultural hub filled with orchards of Almonds, Olives and Rice, Walnuts and Pistachios. * Downtown Willows is a growing hotspot with restaurant and shops.
