Yes, we don't take any fees for opening an account but to benefit from member services you must pay a joining fee of R150 CAN I SEND MONEY FROM UXPRESS TO OTHER INSTITUTIONS? No, you can not send money from uXpress SACCO to another financial institution? HOW TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT? Get the registration form by clicking on the Sing Up button on the top bar. Provide all information and click on the Sign Up button. SO, WHAT DO YOU DO IF YOU WANT TO JOIN? i) Complete your online uXpress SACCO member registration ii) Pay R150 joining fee iii) Contribute at least R350 compulsory monthly savings iv) Pay R150 monthly technology fees NB: Members must purchase at least one uXpress SACCO Share for R150 HOW TO TAKE A LOAN? WHO MAY JOIN AS A MEMBER? i) Anyone who is ready to accept the bylaws, policies and regulations of uXpress SACCO may join and share its ownership. ii) Anyone who is able and willing to save the R350 minimum of monthly saving adopted by the society may join and share its owner ship. iii) Anyone who is able to use the services and willing to accept the responsibilities of membership stated by general Assembly may join and share its owner ship. WHY IS IT IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO SAVE? i) First of all, saving allows you to meet your basic household needs- such as buying food and clothing for yourself and other members of the family. ii) Also when you save, you can use the money later to expand your business. iii) When you save, it allows you also to invest your savings by purchasing other valuable commodities. iv) It is also important to save because; uXpress SACCO will want to see that you have the capacity to save before trusting you with their money. v) Saving is also important because it allows you to deal with emergencies and unforeseeable events- such as loss of loved ones, or medical emergencies. vi) Savings enable households to meet education for children and other relatives. vii) Savings allow you to keep your money safe WHAT ARE MY RESPONSIBILITIES? i) to the services of uXpress SACCO ii) to attend and participate in online general meetings iii) to save regularly and repay credit as agreed iv) to let uXpress SACCO know if they change telephone numbers or addresses v) to check their monthly statements and report any queries vi) to tell their SACCO Agent if they have difficulties in repaying a credit and discuss repayment options vii) to protect the good name of uXpress SACCO viii) to help attract new members to uXpress SACCO HOW CAN MY MEMBERSHIP END? i) Your SACCO membership ends if you die or resign. ii) If you sell too many shares and you don’t have the minimum amount required by uXpress SACCOs rules, your membership can be ended. iii) If uXpress SACCO has not been able to contact you for a period of three years, the Management Committee may decide to close your savings and share accounts.
