RADAR LEVEL TRANSMITTER

Offered in general purpose and intrinsically safe versions for liquid or solids,
the radar level transmitter provides reliable level measurement in difficult
tank, sump or reservoir applications with foam, vapor, temperature or pressure;
or dusty silo, bin, stockpile, crusher or transfer station applications with
grains, pellets, powders or aggregates from 3-30 meters. How does a radar level
transmitter work? The radar level transmitter emits a high frequency RF pulse
from its antenna. The pulse travels through the air gap, reflects against the
liquid or solids surface and returns to the antenna. The radar level transmitter
determines the pulse time of flight and converts this into level height or
distance.
