Scout Striders are key enemies that you'll face time and time again in Automaton
operations. Whether it's a personal order asking you to take them out, or you're
just upping the difficulty of the bot missions you're taking on, expect to see
these enemies frequently in Helldivers 2. Want to know how to take them down

HOW TO DEFEAT SCOUT STRIDERS

Scout Striders are Automatons that operate a turret on legs. They're distinctive
thanks to their boxy armor, and when you're on bot missions, you can be sure
you'll see a lot of them. Whether you're taking down facilities or just seeing a
group of Automatons in the distance, the Scout Striders will be there.

The armor that you see protects the Automatons from the front, but they're
completely exposed at the back. They also move quite fast and will shoot at you
continuously, making them a challenge to deal with out in the open or when they
emerge in large groups. This also makes Scout Striders harder to get behind to
reach their weak spot.



Whenever you see them, you'll want to find some cover to protect yourself from
the rapid fire. If you can manage to get behind a Scout Strider, whether that's
using a Jump Pack or sneaking around to flank them, you'll be able to wipe them
out easily with any weapon.



While this is their weak spot, it's just as easy to target their legs, stopping
them in their tracks. Alternatively, Stratagem weapons that can shoot through
armor, like the Autocannon, are especially helpful against these enemies if you
can find cover. It doesn't matter if you hit them from the front or the back
with the Autocannon; it will rip straight through their armor and take them out
with one hit.

As with most enemies in the game, they're also weaker to explosives and
barrages. So, any of the Stratagems from the Orbital or Eagle selection can be
used against them. This is especially helpful when you do have large groups of
Scout Striders appear.
