Can fibreglass pools be above ground?

A standard above-ground pool is actually not a fibreglass shell at all, but is
composed of a steel wall panel and supports. However, fibreglass pools can be
customized by manufacturers who will “beef up” the structure by adding more
fibreglass and supports that allow more of the shell to be installed above
ground.

Can fibreglass pool be heated?

Yes, Fibreglass pools heat up quicker and retain heat longer than concrete
pools. Concrete absorbs heat, so in addition to heating the pool water, the pool
heater must also warm the concrete to maintain its temperature.

Do fibreglass pools look cheap?

Fibreglass pools can look cheap, especially older ones, but they don’t have to.
When properly built and properly installed, a fiberglass pool will be a thing of
beauty.

Why have a fibreglass pool?

Fibreglass pools also need fewer chemicals than concrete because the nonporous
surface keeps the pH balanced and prevents algae.

Can fibreglass pools crack?

Fibreglass pools have a gel coating that can develop hairline cracks over time.
These cracks typically only penetrate the gel coat and do not affect the pool’s
structural integrity, nor do they indicate leaks.
