ABOUT SAVE

In August of 1989, six Minneapolis couples joined together with a common cause.
Each had lost a child to suicide. Together, they created SAVE to educate
individuals and communities about suicide prevention and to serve as a voice for
suicide loss survivors.

   SAVE JOINS OTHER LEADERS TO UNVEIL 2024 NATIONAL STRATEGY FOR SUICIDE
   PREVENTION
   
   SAVE – Suicide Awareness Voices of Education staff were honored to join other
   leaders engaged in suicide prevention efforts at the White House today for
   the unveiling of the new National Strategy for Suicide Prevention.

   MEMORIAL EVENT UNITES COMMUNITY OF SUICIDE LOSS SURVIVORS IN MAY
   
   This event pays tribute to those we have lost and allows suicide loss
   survivors to gather, share personal journeys and find support in one another.
   SAVE is honored to host its Suicide Awareness Memorial event for the first
   time since 2019 in a new location, Bloomington Center for the Arts

   BRIDGE ADVOCACY CONTINUES WITH KAYLA’S HOPE DAY OF ACTION
   
   SAVE has teamed up with family and friends of a young woman lost to suicide
   to advocate for the installation of suicide prevention barriers on
   Minneapolis’ Washington Ave bridge on the University of Minnesota campus.

   SAVE JOINS COALITION TO HOLD BIG TECH, THE ‘BIG TOBACCO OF TODAY’,
   ACCOUNTABLE
   
   SAVE – Suicide Awareness Voices of Education has joined a broad bipartisan
   coalition to support parents and kids and pass the federal Kids Online Safety
   Act (KOSA) and Minnesota Kids Code (MN AADC).
