THIS IS FOR YOU IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR…

DEEP BIBLICAL TEACHING

Receive high-quality, uniquely delivered curriculum with an emphasis on obeying
all that Christ has commanded (Matthew 28:18) at a fraction of what most
seminaries cost.

CERTIFIED QUALIFICATION

Upon completion of the program, you'll receive a Masters of Arts degree in
Catalytic Leadership through Calvary International Biblical Academy.

FLEXIBLE LEARNING

Journey together through an intensive, integrative, cohort-based,
remote-learning process that centers on the personal application of God’s
written word.

OUR MISSION

To train a new generation of leaders through an obedience-based global seminary
that results in movements of disciple-making initiatives.

WHY WAS FIDELIS INTERNATIONAL SEMINARY CREATED?

Fidelis Project was begun as a response to the great need for emerging Christian
leaders around the world to be rooted and grounded in the fundamentals of
biblical theology. The Spirit of God has been pleased to establish many “gospel
beachheads” throughout the nations: Disciple-making-movements and
church-planting movements have been started as the result of simple obedience to
Christ’s great commission.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES

We have a few vital principles that have helped us craft our program:

THE PROBLEM IS NOT A LACK OF INFORMATION

The internet has put unimaginable amounts of information at the fingertips of
billions of people around the world. The true challenge for emerging leaders who
are hungry for good teaching is how to filter out all of the false and poor
information available on the web. 60% of world population is now using the
internet, and if trends continue, the internet will be a universal avenue for
learning.

HIGHLY REPRODUCIBLE

We desire that all of the instruction and the tools used in this course can be
easily multiplied by those who seek to make faithful disciples within their
spheres of influence. The reason we are not charging tuition is that we are
aiming to develop many generations of cohort-leaders around the world who can be
a force for the advancement of the kingdom of God in their home countries.

LOCALIZED, RELATIONAL ADULT-LEARNING

Many emerging leaders live in contexts that are hostile to the advancement of
the gospel and there are few (or no) institutions of theological higher-learning
available. While many would desire to attend a traditional seminary in the
western world, the exorbitant cost of travel, tuition and the difficulty of
receiving a visa make this virtually unattainable. In addition, 80% of students
that travel to the west for pastoral training never return to their home1. While
we have made virtual-cohorts a viable option, we have designed Fidelis so that
it can be hosted by anyone in any location.

APPLICATION-ORIENTED LEARNING RATHER THAN ACADEMIC

Fidelis will require a high degree of intellectual rigor for all students.
However, the key factors for success in the program will not be based on
learners’ ability to compose well-written documents or thesis-papers. In the
spirit of Christ’s great commission to his disciples to Fidelis integrates
reproducibility and practical obedience steps in response to the loving and
gracious call of God revealed throughout his Word. Students who demonstrate
their understanding of God’s purposes through their personal ministry to their
community will graduate.

The curriculum has five core elements that are a part of each of the sixty-five
lessons.

THE FIVE CORE ELEMENTS OF FIDELIS INTERNATIONAL SEMINARY

METANARRATIVE (MN)

The Bible is one big book. It’s also one big story about the Holy Creator God
who made everything and everyone. Theology is the “queen of the sciences”, in
that all things in the universe have their origin and source in Christ.

SPIRITUAL FORMATION (SF)

Scripture memory and meditation on key portions of the biblical text is
foundational to every lesson. Learners labor to walk in the light of God’s
written revelation as their spiritual lifeblood.

DISCIPLE-MAKING MOVEMENTS (DM)

Students will be required to learn about and labor in the task of prayer,
proclaiming the gospel and simple obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ as revealed
in His word.

PERSONAL WELLNESS (PW)

Often physical health is neglected by many in modern-day occupations. Fidelis
cohorts are a place for spiritual and physical growth. Simple health related
habits and disciplines are important for future leaders to establish for
long-term vitality. These are encouraged in a context of community in the
cohort.

PUBLIC POLICY (PP)

Reading great books from classical Western thought, learners will be confronted
with a historical Christian vision of faithfulness in all spheres of human life
(economics, civics, etc.). Thanks to the academic resources that have been made
available, students will be able to learn from experts and in an engaging
manner.

SEE WHAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE SAYING...

DR JOHN JACKSON

President of William Jessup University

“I am excited to see the Fidelis Curriculum team turn their discipleship
multiplication efforts to equipping people to understand and integrate Biblical
foundations, spiritual gifts, and public policy for cultural impact.

Fidelis is a tool in the Lord’s hands to bring about revival and reformation for
our world."

TITUS

Student in Sri Lanka

“Within a very short period I gained a lot of knowledge. I love the concept
because whoever follows the guidelines can learn a lot. After few weeks I
started to share what I was learning with few of my disciples.

I could even share something amazing with my atheist friends. I had prayed a lot
for them and I tried so many ways to connect with them before. However, after
the first four lessons I had a solid foundation to speak from. Now, one of my
atheist friends has started to read the Bible.”

ISAAC ABDEL-AZIZ

Graduate '22, Ghana, West Africa

“Fidelis is furnishing me with practical knowledge of moving people away from
being recipients of the mission of the Church to being responsible for the
mission of the Church. In the socio-cultural transformation task, I am learning
that beautiful communities and cities are built through friendship, and a
practical knowledge of justice.

As a disciple-movement leader, Fidelis is like a green light, telling me to keep
moving on in the right direction. It helps me to stand on the shoulders of those
who have gone before me, so I can see more clearly in this journey of faith and
mission.”

ESTHER

Graduate '22, Asia

"What is good? What is true? What is beautiful?

You will encounter these questions when you start the Fidelis course. And if you
want to do well, you must think well.

You must study the Fidelis course!

This course is fabulous both in its structure and its content. One great thing
for me was the changing of my life-habits, both physically and spiritually.

Fidelis is an amazing course that teaches us to know our God and His purposes
through a clear and logical way.

I discovered a lot of things that I didn’t know before about the Bible and about
our God. It really changed me a lot. I recommend this course for disciples and
for those who are eager to know who they are [as God’s people] and what we
should do in the kingdom of God.

Do not hesitate. Join us! You will discover a new world!”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS THE COST?

There is an enrollment fee of $100. Tuition is free, but books must be purchased
at the student’s expense. Books will cost approximately $500 (USD).

I SEE THAT THE TUITION IS FREE. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?

“Don’t you need to pay staff and teachers?”

All of the current staff, cohort leaders and administrators raise their own
financial support and/or volunteer to make Fidelis Project what it is. Many work
in collaboration from like-minded organizations and institutions like Team
Expansion or PIONEERS.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROGRAM TAKE?

Most students along with their cohorts complete one lesson per week. At this
rate of study (plus breaks for Christmas and other holidays) the program can be
completed in 18 months, but could take longer. It really depends on the pace of
the cohort.

WHAT IS A COHORT?

A cohort is a group of students who are learning together. Ideally a cohort is
located in place where they can meet in person regularly. However, with the rise
in access to the internet, we are finding that a majority of our cohorts meet
virtually using tools like Zoom.

IS FIDELIS ACCREDITED?

At this time Fidelis is not accredited, however it is certified by the
Government of India to grant degrees up to the Ph.D. level through Calvary
International Biblical Academy.

WHAT DIPLOMA DO GRADUATES RECEIVE?

Those who complete the program will receive a Masters of Arts degree in
Catalytic Leadership through Calvary International Biblical Academy. You can
watch our most recent graduation ceremony here.

WHAT DOES "CATALYTIC LEADERSHIP" MEAN?

A Christian Catalytic Leader is a person who trains a new generation of faithful
Christian leaders. We base this concept on the principles of organic growth and
multiplication described in John 15:8,16 and 2 Timothy 2:2.

WHAT ARE THE PROGRAM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS?

Students must have intermediate or advanced level of English language ability,
love God and be willing to work hard.

DO I NEED TO KNOW ENGLISH LANGUAGE?

Students do need a high level of English language ability, but they don’t need
to be perfectly fluent. For those for whom English is a second language we will
use the English First Standard English Test to determine a student’s entry
English ability. Our program focuses on how well students apply the material to
their own lives and ministry, not primarily on English language composition
ability.

DO I NEED TO HAVE A BACHELOR'S DEGREE TO START THE PROGRAM?

No, however, it would be helpful. Entry into the program is not difficult, but
completion of the program will require a lot of effort and energy.

WHAT ARE THE TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS?

(e.g. what kind of internet access do I need, and what kind of device is
recommended?)

A good internet connection is very important in order to study the curriculum
(we use apps like YouTube and Zoom). Students will need to be able to download
electronic versions of books from Kindle, or have other digital reading options.

WHAT ARE YOUR DOCTRINAL DISTINCTIVES?

The curriculum is historically orthodox Evangelical teaching that centers on
Christ-centered Word in the written Scriptures. Please see our Statement of
Faith. We are not associated with any denomination and seek to serve the global
body of Christ.

WHAT KIND OF WORK WILL I BE PREPARED TO DO AFTER I GRADUATE?

Graduates will be equipped and experienced in leading others to be a faithful
and reproducing disciples of Jesus.

HOW DO I PAY FOR THE REGISTRATION OF THE COURSE?

Books will be acquired using whatever options are available in your location.
Your cohort leader should be able to help you get your books.

Registration fees will be paid via Stripe.

WHY SHOULD I CONSIDER FIDELIS OVER ESTABLISHED LEARNING INSTITUTIONS?

We offer high-quality, uniquely delivered curriculum with an emphasis on obeying
all that Christ has commanded (Matthew 28:18) at a fraction of what most
seminaries cost.

WHAT KIND OF TRAINING DO YOUR INSTRUCTORS HAVE?

We utilize books, instruction and professors from a variety of renowned
Christian sources. If you would like more details please contact us.

HOW DOES SOMEONE BECOME A COHORT LEADER?

You must be trained and approved by the Fidelis President, Dr. Schattner.

HOW DO I GET MY TEXTBOOKS?

There are some locations in the world that are very difficult to find or receive
these textbooks. Students are ultimately responsible for finding the books.

Please see our page about books here. If you want to know more specifics about
the books that are assigned, please contact us.

ARE THERE SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE?

Scholarships may be available towards your registration fee depending on your
situation. For more information please contact us. Tuition is free.

CAN I GET A VISA TO RESIDE IN AMERICA, CANADA OR EUROPE?

No. We provide all of educational resources and guidance using the internet, and
you are never required to travel to another country in order to graduate from
the program.

WHERE IS FIDELIS LOCATED?

We are not a traditional seminary at a physical location. We are using the
internet to deliver the curriculum and learning takes place through small
cohorts. While some cohorts may meet exclusively online (via video-meetings
using services like Zoom), we believe that the ideal situation is that cohorts
be formed in a single location so that they can meet together and integrate the
material together as a community.

Team Expansion is located at 4112 Old Routt Rd, Louisville, KY 40299, United
States.
